UZI Suicide Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 It had to end sometime. I'm not surprised, this is the weakest team DLS has fielded in quite sometime. However, I'd hate to be the team that has to play DLS next week.
Guest Crazy Dan Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 Of course they keep saying that DLS has a weak team, and they end up going undefeated, which is what it is like year in and year out. I have feeling that this will be DLS's only lost this year. Just remember this is a school that gets the cream of the crop out of an area of 4 million people, so even though they lose starters, they just reload. But I agree, I do feel sorry for their oppanent that they destroy-err- play next week. Being that they get reported in my paper, I will keep anyone posted if they lose again. They still are one of the best teams in California, but props to Bellvue, WA, who ended the streak finally. I remember the last time DLS lost is when Amani Toomer was their star player and they lost to Pittsburg, who had Regan Upshaw on it, man I am getting old.
UZI Suicide Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 Well DLS is never a team that's really relied on talent as much as just getting guys to believe in their style of play and executing to perfection. However this year they just don't have those caliber of guys.

lomasmoney Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 A decent amount of teams come out of state, since I remember seeing them play some team from Texas, in Hawaii. I think its amazing that they last lost a game in 1991. I was 6 years old when they last lost a game which is just amazing. They always hyped up De La Salle here in Ann Arbor since our quarterback Matt Gutieriez graduated from there and he never lost a game as a starter in high school
