UZI Suicide Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 from Wrestlecrap "Well my wife figured it was time to let me out of the house, and WWE was in Beaumont Saturday, so off we went on a 100 mile drive. When I got to the arena the security guard was talking to a WWE agent on a walkie-talkie to see if I could go in the wrestler's entrance. The agent asked if I was a big guy with a beard. The guard said no. I told him I just shaved it off today, which he repeated to the agent. (A likely story, right?) I pulled out my id and then they knew it was me. Yes, I finally shaved my hair and beard off. I haven't been without at least a moustache, since high school. Feels weird, but it was starting to go now. The first person we saw was Ric Flair, and he immediately came over to hug me and ask how I was doing. Next was HHH, Kane, Chris Benoit, Christian, William Regal, Val Venis, Steven Richards and of course the Hebners, Steve Kiern, and Arn Anderson. The young guys that didn't know who I was with the different look, all came up and introduced themselves, like Randy Orton, Shelton Benjamin, Batista, Rob Conway, Sylvian Grenier, Eugene, Chuck Palumbo, and Coach. Everyone was of course so concerned for me, but this was one of those "Memory-making" days for my family, so HHH sent the agents to put my family in some good close seats, while I stayed in the back. HHH got a HHH t-shirt for my son, and a Lita t-shirt for my daughter, along with 2 programs, which I ran all over getting everyone to sign. Chris Benoit was awesome to my son. He gave my daughter a t-shirt, but to my son, get this, he gave a pair of his ring-worn tights! Then he thought my son would want to just "play" wrestler in them, but no, my son got him to sign them because he wants to display them. My son was so honored. So they watched most of the show, but unfortunately it was getting a bit too much for me physically, so we left before the semi, and main events. Everyone was just so good to us, I couldn't thank them enough, I know they'd do it for any of the boys, but still to see the excitement, and happiness in my kids' eyes it's like......priceless. Don't tell anyone but I think my daughter likes Randy Orton (Shhhh) HHH assured me that a letter to Vince would be personally delivered so everything went great." 'Quake"
Slayer Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 I can't imagine Tenta without his skullet and beard...
Guest TonyJaymzV1 Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 That's one thing you've gotta give HHH.....he has always respected the wrestlers that came before him.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 I swear, Chris Benoit has to be the most respectful guy that they have. Glad to see what class acts guys in the business can really be. It really sucks to hear about Tenta being in such a condition, and I didn't even realize that he had children.
Guest Fook Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 Chris Benoit was awesome to my son. He gave my daughter a t-shirt, but to my son, get this, he gave a pair of his ring-worn tights! That's just amazing.
JoeDirt Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 That's a really cool story. It's really sad to hear how bad Tenta's doing now though, and I'm sure the decline is going to be fast, too.
SinToxic Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 Great story, I wouldn't expect anything less from Benoit.
Sideburnious Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 This shows the class that the WWE has always had and provided. Lol i wonder if WCW was still around if they'd do anything like that for wrestlers
SinToxic Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 I think it's more about the wrestlers in the fed that are humane, not the fed itself.
Guest JMA Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 That's a great story, kudos to Benoit and the other wrestlers for being so upstanding and respectful.
Guest Quik Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 I hope Benoit washed those before he gave them to Quake's son. "Wow Chris, your ring-worn tights in which your sweaty man-junk was supported. I will cherish these forever." **Sniff-sniff** [retches]
Guest Staravenger Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 You would've taken them too...and sold them on eBay if they weren't washed. Of course, you could wash them yourself, but I think thats the last thing on the kids mind.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 They are actually nice guys!
