Mik 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2004 I'm excited to watch tonight's game. I'm more of an NFC fan, but I want to see if the Pats are as good as advertised and if the Colts can finally establish themselves as a team to beat, per se. It doesn't hurt that Peyton is my fantasy QB, either. I'm just glad the NFL is back, it makes Sundays a very good day again.
Guest D'Lo White Report post Posted September 9, 2004 There are alot of really good and interesting games for an opening week of the season. I'm looking forward to it. I'll predict the Saints/Seahawks will be the most exciting game, soon be high scoring and that the Eagles/Giants will be the biggest blow out. I see the Eagles putting a whooping on the Jints. I'm talking a 31-0 Bills/Pats type pounding.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2004 Miami/Tennessee will be on Saturday due to Hurricane Ivan Probably won't be televised though unless you have DTV
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2004 I predict the high scoring game will be Denver vs Kansas City. Two light 'em up style offenses with kickers hitting in the Mile High Air = explosive scoring.
slabinskia 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2004 PATRIOTS-COLTS I think the colts will have the better team at the end of the season but not tonight. PREDICTION:patriots 27 colts 23 TITANS-DOLPHINS miami will play good defense but won't be able to score. PREDICTION:titans 21 dolphins 13 RAVENS-BROWNS This won't even be close imo. PREDICION ravens 24 browns 3 JETS-BENGALS I like pennington and I'm not a big carson palmer fan. PREDICTION: jets 28 bengals 20 TEXANS-CHARGERS I think the texans will be impoved this year. PREDICTION texans 23 chargers 10 BEARS-LIONS I don't expect much from either team this year.detroit had a good draft but I think it will take 2 years to show. PREDICTION bears 20 lions 17 SAINTS-SEATTLE High scoring game.I think seattle goes deep in the playoffs PREDICTION seattle 41 saints 34 TAMPA BAY-WASHINGTON low scoring game I think PREDICTION:washington 17 tampa 16 STEELERS-RAIDERS I think pittsburg will be better than people think. PREDICTION steelers 24 raiders 17 RAMS-ARIZONA this game will make the rams look better than they really are imo. PREDICTION rams 45 cardinals 14 BILLS-JAGUARS I think both teams will be improved.tough call PREDICTIONS bills 27 jaguars 26 EAGLES-GIANTS I don't see as big a blowout as people think but still an easy win. PREDICTION:eagles 30 giants 16 COWBOYS-VIKINGS I think dallas will be better than people expect but not this week. PREDICTION:vikings 42 cowboys 20 ATLANTA-49ERS I don't see either of these teams being great PREDICTION falcons 24 49ers 13 CHIEFS-BRONCOS I think both teams will make the playoffs.good game. PREDICTION denver 34 chiefs 31 PACKERS-PANTHERS both are decent teams but the sunday night game will be much better PREDICTION: carolina 23 green bay
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2004 PATRIOTS-COLTS This reminds me of the Eagles/Bucs game last year which I got wrong, but my philosophy remains the same. The Colts got beat by the Pats in the Championship game a year ago and will be motivated for their chance for revenge. They are NOT the better team, but they will play harder for tonight. PREDICTION: Colts 31, Pats 28 TITANS-DOLPHINS Miami is usually tough at home in September, and this won't be any exception, but they just can't compete on offense. Low scoring all the way in this one. PREDICTION: Titans 14, Dolphins 10 RAVENS-BROWNS If there is something the Ravens do effectively, it is beat the Browns. Kind of like how Green Bay always beats the Bears. Lewis rushes for 200 Yards and 2 TDs. PREDICTION: Ravens 35, Browns 7 JETS-BENGALS The Jets are the best shot in the East to knock off New England. The Bengals are my pick to win the North and were red hot in the pre-season. However, the experience of the Jets is too much for the young Bengals on this day and Pennington will tear apart the mediocre Cincy defense. PREDICTION: Jets 34, Bengals 24 TEXANS-CHARGERS The Texans defense is bad, but still better than San Diego's and their offense should be much improved over the Bolts. The Chargers will do well enough to keep Brees on the field for another week (thanks to LT), but that's about it. PREDICTION: Texans 20, Chargers 14 BEARS-LIONS The Lions are on the verge, but I think they need another year of experience first and since the Lions never win on the road and the Bears are not nearly as bad at home, this isn't a difficult pick. The score is closer than the game is as the Lions make a run late after the Bears already have it won. PREDICTION: Bears 24, Lions 17 SAINTS-SEATTLE Seattle is my pick to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, but they are in tough this week. If they were at home, they win this easily, but to ask Seattle to travel practically the entire country and win in the Superdome is just too much. They lose this week, but not too often for the rest of the year. This is going to be a shootout. PREDICTION: Saints 38, Seahawks 35 TAMPA BAY-WASHINGTON Two teams headed in opposite directions. Tampa is a team in transition from the Super Bowl year to a more traditional Gruden offensive team, but they are still talented enough to snatch a few games. Gibbs is too clever to fall for that. PREDICTION: Redskins 28, Bucs 16 STEELERS-RAIDERS Steelers are underrated and at home. Raiders are overrated. I have news for you, they ARE as bad as last year, at least until Collins gets the starting job. PREDICTION: Steelers 28, Raiders 9 RAMS-ARIZONA Arizona @ St. Louis? Heh heh... PREDICTION: Rams 48, Cards 0 BILLS-JAGUARS This could be the sleeper game of the week and is very telling of what may happen the rest of the way as both teams are considered to be highly regarded darkhorse teams. Buffalo has more talent, and they should be motivated for this game at least, so I give them the edge, but it will be close. PREDICTIONS: Bills 21, Jaguars 20 EAGLES-GIANTS Warner goes down in the 1st and the Giants begin their trek towards giving San Diego the top pick in the 2005 Draft. Eagles are overrated, but the Giants would have trouble beating the Toronto Argos. PREDICTION: Eagles 27, Giants 3 COWBOYS-VIKINGS Dallas sucks, but Minnesota has a history of playing down to their competition. I am really tempted to go with Dallas here, but I think Minny will pull it out in the 4th despite Dallas holding the O in check for most of the game. PREDICTION: Vikings 20, Dallas 16 ATLANTA-49ERS Unless Vick breaks his leg again, this is a rout. The Niners are even worse than their across-the-bay counterparts. And believe me, that's pretty bad. PREDICTION: Falcons 34, Niners 14 CHIEFS-BRONCOS Big game here with huge AFC West implications given the horrid state of the two Californian teams. Can Denver stop Priest? The answer is no, but they will win anyways since the Chiefs can't stop anybody at all. PREDICTION: Broncos 38, Chiefs 34 PACKERS-PANTHERS The Panthers are headed for a big fall after their tremendous performance last season, and the last thing they want to see is Brett Favre warming up opposite them on Monday night. PREDICTION: Packers 23, Panthers

Guest bigm350 Report post Posted September 9, 2004 Yeah, its in Foxboro. Sorry guys. In that case I'll take the Pats to win tonight. Home field advantage and all that.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2004 The Pats have no back-up running back tonight. Cobbs is out, Faulk is not there, Cloud was cut and Pass is the only fullback. I have no idea what the thinking is behind this. None whatsoever.
Guest Nanks Report post Posted September 9, 2004 Vikings v Cowboys is the game of interest for me. Both teams have Australians punting for them. First time ever with two Aussies in the one NFL game. The veteran Darren Bennett in his first game for the Vikings and the rookie Mat McBriar in his NFL debut game for the Cowboys. Until recently Mat was living in Darren's spare room. Sadly, the game isn't being shown in Australia, which is kind of sad, so if anyone does catch the game, if you could let me know how they go, that'd be ace. Outside of that. Go Philly!! Guest GreatOne Report post Posted September 9, 2004 The prospect of Ken Hamlin knocking Donte Stallworth into about week 6 again makes Hawks/Saints worth it. No, I'm not pulling for him to get hurt or anything............

They still have BETHEL JOHNSON~! to return kicks so it's not that horrible. As far as the backup RB situation goes, Dillon will likely get 20-25 carries with Pass maybe getting 5 carries for the rest of the game. At this point, they could always use Dan Klecko in the FB position and put Pass at the backup RB spot
