Cartman Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Bengals back to being the Bungles again.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 The Raiders looked shakey to begin. But they're coming on strong again. Mark my words, this Doug Gabriel is a fucking stud. He's the man. I think the Bucaneers might be a worse team than the Chargers. They are looking pitiful.

And to NoCalMike: If Portis keeps this up, I guess I will indeed be eating crow.
Guest Flyboy Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Lehman > Urlacher... I kid, I kid, but the kid is having a game!

And outside of Portis, their offense has been fairly lacklustre. Their defense keeps getting them the ball back, and they end up doing nothing. And how about Galloway? Did he leave the game because of a sore hammy or out of embarrassment for dropping a perfect pass.
Guest Vitamin X Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 NYJ/CIN has had some pretty crappy playcalling About this supposed emphasis on the 5-yard rule.. Doesn't seem to be getting enforced a lot today. I've come to the conclusion pass interference is one of the most questionable calls you can make out there, they really should make it subject to review.
Guest Flyboy Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 I really don't see how one can consider the Texans "lowly" with the improvements they made last season and going into this one. Give them time.

Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Rich Gannon is having his best drive since the 2002 season. YES!
Guest Vitamin X Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 FUCKING CBS keeps cutting out of the CIN/NYJ game to give me updates on Hurricane Ivan, which isn't projected to be anywhere near us at all. It's not like it's going to take a sudden swing at the peninsula. Bengals back to being the Bungles again. That's asinine. Palmer has played a great game so far for his first NFL start (and significant NFL action as well). Johnson isn't moving the ball for them, but you can't really fault the Bengal defense for not being able to keep Pennington in check.
razazteca Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Good to see Gannon doing well....he shall help my fantasy team win some games! Dominack Davis now has 2 TDs with 75 yards rushing.
strummer Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Portis fumbles on an awkward exchange with Brunell, Ronde Barber returns it for a TD for the Bucs. Tie game

And outside of Portis, their offense has been fairly lacklustre. Their defense keeps getting them the ball back, and they end up doing nothing. The Skins are beating themselves. Damn without that Bucs defense, they'd be the worst team in history. Their offense is disgusting,
Guest Vitamin X Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Banky, how are you watching Raider games up in Saskatoon?
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Bengals are back in it 24-17. Browns are holding Jamal Lewis in check. And wow is Kevin Jones having a horrible game for the Lions. 11 carries for like 14 yds..... ouch.
Guest Vitamin X Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 That's good to hear, Browns over Ravens is my upset of the week..
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Banky, how are you watching Raider games up in Saskatoon? Following via internet, sucka I got the fucking Browns/Ravens Only time I get a Raiders game is when at home for a late game
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 That's good to hear, Browns over Ravens is my upset of the week.. The Ravens QB (Boller) really isn't very good.
Kahran Ramsus Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Is Anthony Wright still around?
Guest Vitamin X Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Boller was the most overhyped player I've ever seen. I played against the guy in high school, he played for a team notorious for getting calls in their favor back then, and he went to Cal and still didn't do anything of importance there. I hate it when teams take a QB, train them for a year and play them, then take ANOTHER QB to replace the other young QB that hasn't developed yet, as has happened in the case of Chris Redman and Drew Brees.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Is Anthony Wright still around? He's out for the season with an injury. If Boller goes down Kordell Stewart comes in.
razazteca Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 The Chargers are playing the lowly Texans. The Texans won the TWO~ past season opening games. The score is tied at 20 in the 4th quarter.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Nice pass to Morgan and the Browns are up 10-3.
Cartman Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 ...in other words... Baltimore Ravens...SEASON OVER!
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Cardinals 10, Rams in the Dome 9... Haha.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 ...in other words... Baltimore Ravens...SEASON OVER! Actually the Browns are playing really well. It's not like their receiving core is going to be easy to deal with now that they actually have a QB to get them the ball.
Cartman Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Well I was really saying that since Boller is garbage, and kordel is GARBAGE~!
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 As long as they have Jamal Lewis they can win the division. If they lose him at any point it's all over. EDIT: Boller with his first of many INTs this season.

I seem to recall Grossman being on the board when they picked Boller, they really should have gone after him instead.
Cartman Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 True, since the winner of THAt division will only need about 9 wins.
