This Could be Bad for Kerry

ABCWashingtonPost did a poll. This is about approval ratings. And Dana Milibank, as left-wing a guy in the press as there is, compared Kerry's results to OTHER historical results --- just for perspective.

 

In this poll, Kerry barely edged out --- Sen. McCarthy's rating in 1954 (36 - 35).

 

He's a whopping 13 behind Ashcroft in 2003.

 

He's 2 behind Putin.

 

He's 7 behind Hoover -- in 1944.

 

Hell, he's 18 points behind -- HIS OWN PARTY.

 

Well, Kerry had the first negative convention bounce. I suppose negative coattails are next.
