Guest MikeSC Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 All of the pimping of Harris v JJ as a great match and it doesn't even make the cut in a less-than-stellar year? -=Mike
Guest Staravenger Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 Yeesh! If I wanted to watch a horrible Pay-Per-View, I'll watch Great American Bash 1999 or something.
Magus Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 Just the thought of Jeff Jarrett as the company's big main eventer is enough to turn anyone off this show. Every match here has at least one shitty worker in it. Fuck this show and fuck TNA.
Placebo Effect Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 When dealing with TNA, "Best of the Heavyweights" is an oxymoron.
Guest MikeSC Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 When dealing with TNA, "Best of the Heavyweights" is an oxymoron. I think the phrase "relative term" is a better fit for "TNA's best of the heavyweights" -=Mike
Guest Staravenger Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 I think a more suitable name for the PPV would be "Best of the Deadweights"
Corey_Lazarus Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 I think the proper term would be "Best of the Carry-Job's," since all but one of those matches (Hardy/Brown) were big carry jobs by Jarrett's opponent(s). Aside from the Deadly Draw, which was decent-at-best. See, TNA would be wiser to show the stuff between when the DVDs came out in mid-'03 and now than just from January until now. Between August '03 and March '04, there were still some damn fine matches (Ultimate X 2, the first X-Cup, Super X Tourney, the Abyss/Styles feud...and that's about it).
