My memory on the Yankees bullpen last year is pretty bad. Who are you talking about?

While I'm looking over statistics, the Yankees had a better record against the East (.657) than the big, bad Central (.625).  Remove the Red Sox, and the Yankees played .741 ball against the rest of the East.

And the Yankees have played 73 games against the AL East as opposed to 32 vs the Central. So the point is.........

That the Yankees won a greater percentage of their games they played versus the East, compared to those in the Central. Is that hard to comprehend?

Alright smartass. Keep trying that 73 and 32 games comparison.

Damn the drugs I must have been on when I said I had respect for your baseball knowledge.....................

I don't want to get into it right now. I've got a headache and I'm not in full ranting form.

I think he's talking about that guy in L.A.

Think Gedde Watanabe in UHF.

The Central has a smaller sample size, I get it. That doesn't change the fact that the Central, a MUCH weaker division as far as Yankee fans are concerned, gave the Yankees every bit as much of a challenge as the East did.

But if you like bigger samples, the Yankees finished 48-25 against the AL East (.658), and 52-34 (.605) against the rest of baseball. That still makes the AL East look weaker than the rest of their competiton.

Oh, I forgot Weaver was used in the Bullpen in the playoffs... I kinda didn't want to remember he was even a Yankee. (sobs in corner)

I'll never forgive that man.

I genuinely hate very few baseball players, and he's at the top of the list.

I love how you still contest the Weaver is the reason they lost the World Series. I know my team blames it on a foul ball, but c'mon, that was ONE game Weaver cost the team. The Yanks' sluggish hitting and apathetic attitude during the series is what played the bigger role.

Yankees definitely playing it easy tonight. At Shortstop is Felix Escalona and at Thirdbase I think the guys name is Andy Phillips. Jason Giambi, Tony Clark, and Ruben Sierra are playing, Enrique Wilson is playing 2B, and Kenny Lofton is leading off.

Steve Stone continues his criticism of Dusty and the team, and last night told local radio station WGN that there will be a BLOCKBUSTER personnell change made Monday.

Today Dusty said Steve apparently has some personal vendetta against him, probably stemming from "when my players said what they had to." That being, when they said he's too critical and Mercker made a call to the broadcast booth during a game.

When Steve was headed up the ramp to the booth today, he was surrounded by reporters, to whom, IIRC, he said "my comments are my comments" and that everything's okay now, after he sat down with McPhail, McDonough, Hendry, and Dusty himself. I just thought this was interesting.

Also the game was delayed in, I think, the 8th, for fans throwing things on the field today.

Phillips hit 24 home runs in Columbus. He's actually pretty good.
