Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted September 28, 2004 I don't like the blatant Ravens bias in DrTom's articles And Jamal, Priest, and Deuce get tildebangs but AH-AH-AH-AHMAN GREEN~! doesn't? What gives?!
Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 You'll just have to live with the RAVENS~! bias. I've never claimed to be objective. I will hereby consider Green for single-name tilde-bang status. You'll see if he gets it or not in next week's installment.
MrRant 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 What about Alexander? Shaun Alexander deserves it. He has 5 TDs already.
Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 Shaun's too common a name, though. Part of the completely arbitrary selection process for single-name tilde-bang status is that the player's name can't be something too common. DEUCE~! is the best example, really, since it's a cool sounding name, looks good written that way, and McAllister is a heck of a RB to boot. Alexander's good, but he also has a habit of disappearing in games... basically, he has Corey Dillon Syndrome, where he'll have 120 yards and 2 TD one week, and 35 yards and no scores the next. Red Baron 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 but no comment on how the Seahawks stopped San Fran's 420 game scoring streak?
Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 I didn't do news stuff (apart from some injuries) because I wanted to look at the Chiefs' plight, and I only have so much time to write the bloody column. Besides, the 49ers are ass this year.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted September 29, 2004 You should allow people to send in commentaries to be published within your article as well. Or something. Damn it I just want to write something. Hey, JAY FIEDLER~! is getting the start this week. No way in hell Fiedler deserve tilde-bang status.

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted September 30, 2004 He's not even good enough to be a starter on an 0-3 team.
Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 Well, he IS 36-18 as the team's starter. Of course, those teams weren't as awful as this year's model. But either way, he certainly doesn't deserve tilde-bang status.
