1234-5678 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Donnie just threw his first pick of the season on a tipped pass when he should've just rushed. Where's your head at today McNabb?
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 ANOTHER BS call Did Lovie Smith pay these refs before the game??
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Apparently, some Birds fans made the trip out to Chicago because there was a "Hugh" chant there
Guest TheLastBoyscout Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Donnie just threw his first pick of the season on a tipped pass when he should've just rushed. Where's your head at today McNabb? I think the QB Coaches and TO have killed scrambling McNabb dead. And the Eagles have sacked Quinn twice in a row.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 R.I.P. Quinn
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Yeah, Lito Sheppard has like 3 or 4 sacks this season, and he's a cornerback. And man I am glad Douglas is back in town. We got him pretty cheap too right? What a fuckin bargain.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Yikes that was an ugly hit
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Keep in mind, Eagle fans, the Birds are playing THE BEARS. The Bears have a good D, but are an awful team. McNabb knows this, having come from the area. He might not be "feelin' it". They've got the game well in hand, anyways.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 They always don't play that well the week before a bye, as shown by last year's game against the Pats and the 2001 Cardinals game. However, they usually play very well the week after a bye, which they need to do in 2 weeks when Carolina visits.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Carolina looks pretty bad this year thus far, tho.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 They scare me with that defense, though Ricky Manning won't punk out Owens like he did Pinkston last January. DeShaun Foster worries me as well, and Delhomme has shown he doesn't make mistakes. The bye week before the game and home field should help the Eagles though, it will be a very tough game. They also can't be commiting so many penalties and expect to beat the Panthers.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Brian Westbrook is a MACHINE
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Game ball definitely goes to Brian Westbrook. 20 rushes, 111 yards so far, as well as 8 catches.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Fat Bettis puts the ball in the EZ and puts the Steelers back in the lead, hopefully for good. Ben's looked great, Duce has fumbled twice (but has 100 yards), and the defense has looked rather tentative. The Steelers should escape with this win, but they need to address the lack of tenacity on the defensive side of the ball.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Akers misses the FG, but the defense will probably hold Chicago off again I've been impressed with the run defense today, Thomas Jones hasn't gotten started

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 In the games that matter The Jags have TIED the Colts in the fourth quarter with 11 straight points to make it 17-17. Meanwhile the Pats and Bills are tied headed into the fourth at 17-17 as well with the Pats at the Bills 33.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 I HATE the bend-but-don't break defense, Bears get a TD and are going for two.... They don't get it, 19-9 Eagles.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 3, 2004 I want to die right now. Favre, Green, and Sharper have all had minor injuries in this game, and it appears Brett's suffered a concussion.

Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 AMAZING INT and TD return by Troy Polamalu seals the game for Pittsburgh. Absolutely AMAZING pick.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Christie misses another FG that would have sealed the game for NY GB with 30 seconds for a Farve-less comeback chance
Guest GreatOne Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Jesus christ, this NE/Buf game is just horrible. From Vinatieri kicking the ball short/out of bounds cause the Pats' kicking coverage sucks to 10 penalties a side to this last play, which has been ruled incomplete. Christ, Patriots. Couldn't you have waited you know, like two weeks to have your worst game of the season?
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Something tells me Green Bay isn't that good anymore. Considering half their starters are injured, that's a silly assumption. This is unbelievable.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Yeah but losing at Lambeau to a Giants team that is not as good as their record is horrendous. And another crappy call on the Eagles. NFL refs blow.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 I can't even see the game. The local FOX station, with no Falcons or Panthers game to show in the 1pm slot, decided to just not show any game at all.
strummer 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Giants win 14-7. 3 straight losses for the Pack. Giants are amazingly 3-1. Great day for Tiki Barber as the Giants rush for well over 200 yards.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted October 3, 2004 I'm glad to see 3 of my 4 favourite teams win this week, but what happened to the Raiders? Kerry Collins was up to his old shenanigans. 3 INTS, 2 Fumbles. He handed the Texans ALL of their 2nd half points. Thats a tough one to swallow especially if one reckons that he might be the future QB of this team. I always contended they shoulda drafted a QB instead of Gallery. Roelthisberger's performance today kinda proved me right in a way. But good for the Steelers, I like them, they'll be a great squad in a few years led by Ben. But who knows about Carson Palmer??? Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 3, 2004 Yeah but losing at Lambeau to a Giants team that is not as good as their record is horrendous. And another crappy call on the Eagles. NFL refs blow. I think the Giants are every bit as good as their record. They got whipped by the Eagles at home, but they've played solid football ever since. Green Bay's problem right now lies in two things: Injuries, I mean going from Brett Favre to DOUG FUCKING PEDERSON, quite possibly one of the worse quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL (You Eagles fans will remember him from McNabb's rookie year), especially missing out on McKenzie as well as the top draft pick Ahmad Carroll, AND Grady Jackson, plus you had both Darren Sharper and Ahman Green both sit out some plays because of minor injuries. The other thing has to lie in the playcalling and coaching. The team obviously played with no motivation once their leader went out of the game and the doctors wouldn't let him back in, and that lies in the coaching. Also, blitzing way too much for a team that couldn't afford to do that against a team that runs the screen as well as the Giants. The Giants won for two reasons: Time of possession, and getting to play Doug Pederson when the Packers are losing instead of Brett Favre.
