therealworldschampion Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 What can he do? Put Estebomb in?
The Dames Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 That HR just KILLED Sturtze's confidence. Dames
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 And I think Sturtze's contract with the devil just ran out.
therealworldschampion Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 The Anglesault Death Watch is warming up.....
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Who would be better suited to defeat the Sox; Twins or Yankees? Thats all i wanna know.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 And again with the stall tactics. I have to get up at 6am, you bastards.
DerangedHermit Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 And I think Sturtze's contract with the devil just ran out. *spits out soda*
Guest Coffey Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 And in the 9th, we have Olerud, Cairo, and Jeter.
2GOLD Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Quantrill coming in. Sturz did all you could ask of the guy.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 All you Olerud supporters better be right.
The Dames Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 We didn't ask him to give up a HR. Dames
mike546 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 What a depressing game. And now, I won't be able to watch ESPN until like a month after the WS is over, because you know ALL there going to talk about is why the Yankees now suck.
Guest Coffey Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Who would be better suited to defeat the Sox; Twins or Yankees? Thats all i wanna know. Tough call. Personally, I think Minnesota is a better team than New York, but with the Boston/New York rivalry, that series would be a lot more entertaining. The Yank always turn it up against Boston. So, I'd have to say that New York would have the better chance against Boston. I think Boston has the AL though.
therealworldschampion Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Not me, class got cancelled, take your time Joe
2GOLD Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 My GOD The game isn't even OVER yet. What is this? You are YANKEE FANS! Stop this! Be arrogant and mad and SURE you are going to kick some ass. You are destroying my childhood nightmares of Yankee fans with this!
The Dames Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 ...IF we lose this game tonight (see how I never lose hope)... It wouldn't be the first time we'd be down 2-0 in the ALDS...and we've come back before. Dames
mike546 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 The thing that also sucks is that in this series, the Yankees couldn't hit shit. So we all know George is going to look for even MORE hitting. Not that I don't want Beltran, but we need fucking pitching, badley.
Guest Coffey Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Jax was SUCH a fucking jobber. Dames I can win with Jax. He has some nasty two hits. I.E. Jump Kick into Backbreaker. Sorry 'bout your teams luck, duder. I know how you feel, as a Cubs fan. I'm used to the disappointment though. A lot of Yankee fans are used to success.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 Not me, class got cancelled, take your time Joe Well, then you might like to watch the other game, or something. It'd be better than inactivity.
Guest Smues Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I thought I asked this earlier but apparently I didn't click post (boo inning over). does Olerud as a Yankee still use that stupid ole ole ole song as his batting music like he did in Seattle?
therealworldschampion Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 If Minnesota wins this, would the Twins rest Santana and use him in Game 5 if it got to that?
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 On another note, keeping Nathan in could become the most second-guessed move of the postseason.
mike546 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 ...IF we lose this game tonight (see how I never lose hope)... It wouldn't be the first time we'd be down 2-0 in the ALDS...and we've come back before. Dames Back then, we had Moose, El Duque, and I think Clemens in 3,4, and 5.
2GOLD Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 On another note, keeping Nathan in could become the most second-guessed move of the postseason. Agreed. It's purely insane even if it works out. Someone else in the Twins bullpen must be solid.
The Dames Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Fuck that...I was born in 1980. That means I didn't get to see the Yankees get into the PLAYOFFS until 1995. They're making up for lost time as far as I'm concerned. I'm still mad Mattingly never got his ring. I probably always will be. Dames
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Good, when you have your own channel, buy a winning team, throw your logo everywhere, have credit card commercials, take over ESPN's baseball coverage, and have home field... and GET SWEPT as it appears you will... Your team fucking deserves to be bashed on ESPN for a few months.
Guest Coffey Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Yankees gotta do it here. Winning three in a row is more than tough. Winning three in a row when the next two are away games is worse. Winning three in a row, with the next two as away games and not having any pitching is damn near impossible. Let's see how jobber ass Olerud comes through for ya'll. 0-2 already. Scrub.
