Guest Anglesault Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I can't believe we wasted movement from Ruben Sierra. Its Jon Olerud's fault. Even if the Yanks get past this series, will Jason Giambi be a realistic starter for the ALCS? No. Giambi is like the living dead right now. I'd rather have a slick fielder with a pretty decent bat in Olerud than a guy with niether in Giambi.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 What the hell is your problem with Olerud? You do realize hes been somewhat of a savior to us? He is a back up, washed up 1st basemen. He hasn't done ANYTHING at the plate in the past two games. I'm just saying when he comes to bad I know he isn't going to do anything worthwhile.
mike546 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 He was the closest to getting us a run yesterday, had a double tonight. And jesus christ, I love you Miggie.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Johnny O has been big for us. He also got a double today, which is impressive considering he's the slowest man on earth

mike546 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 A hit with RISP? HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!
strummer Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 5-3 Yankees, RBI single A-Rod, that should about do it for this game.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 5-3 Yankees, RBI single A-Rod, that should about do it for this game. I'll be careful. Flash scared me a little bit (I still love the guy) against Offerman. Nothing is a done deal.

He faced Santana, a lefty, last night. Olerud really is a platoon hitter at this point, and he was out there because the Yanks had no better option.
Guest Coffey Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I got to admit, this is the first play-off game this year that I've enjoyed.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Loaiza got up and my neighbor heard me scream.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 Anyone else dig the Budwiser Joe Buck commercial?
strummer Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 2 on for the Twins in the 8th, and in comes Rivera
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 This is the number one thing that annoys me about the Yankees. Late-inning stall tactics.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 This is the number one thing that annoys me about the Yankees. Late-inning stall tactics. What?
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 This is the number one thing that annoys me about the Yankees. Late-inning stall tactics. What? Killing time on the mound before bringing in the new pitcher. Or sometimes having Stottlemyre talk to the entire team on the mound, and then Torre comes out. The Yankees certainly aren't the only team that does it, but when its 11:30 at night, and you have an 8am class the next morning, it gets really tiring.
Guest Smues Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Flash! ahhhhhHHHHH Oh wait this isn't a movie it's playoff baseball. Go Twins hitting.
Guest Smues Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Gameday says in-play, run scoring play. huzzah I hope it was a homerun.
strummer Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 RBI single for Morneau, 1st and 3rd with 1 out.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 Damnit. The Twins just took out their best hitter for Luis F'n Rivas.
UZI Suicide Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 FUCK THE WALL ALSO! TWINS SHOULD BE AHEAD!
