Shanghai Kid 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2004 Did anybody catch this tonight? The ending was a huge friggin cliffhanger. We still don't know who the freaking Carver is, but damn the ending was a big time shock.
BlackFlagg 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2004 nah, the bigger shock was Ava...the ending was a bit obvious, with Sean doing all that security stuff to be protected I'm surprised they never thought "Hey, he might go after his partner instead."
Guest JMA Report post Posted October 6, 2004 Ava being a man...I NEVER would've seen that coming. I'm not sure I like the idea, but it certainly was shocking. I'm surprised they never built on the fact that Ava knows Matt was involved in the hit-and-run of Kara. And where did she disappear this season? After it was mentioned she was raped, she never showed up again. That seemed weird to me. Joan Rivers was kind of funny, but I don't really feel that subplot was needed. They could've spent more time on more important things. I thought Alec Baldwin added something to the show, but I would've introduced his character before the last episode of the season. As for the Carver, I think it's the doctor who fixed Sean's face. The way he mutilates the faces of his victims seems to suggest he is/was a surgeon himself. LJSexay 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2004 definitely one of the best episodes, ever. I think Julia and Sean may eventually get back together, which makes me oh so happy . Adrian killing himself.. wtf? I dunno man. As upset that I am that Ava is a man.. ..WHAT HAPPENED TO CHRISTIANS FACE???
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2004 Christian got his ass messed up. Wonder if the Carver raped him as well. That'd be interesting little twist. The one thing I learned from this episode: Christian is apparently hung...why I needed to learn this I have no idea.
LJSexay 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2004 hahaha... yeah. I was telling me brother, as an explanation for how Christian knew Ava was a man, that he's a. a plastic surgeon, and b. apparently a horse.. great..
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2004 I loved the Ava twist, and I like the way they found it out. I expected the Carver to get Christian leaving Shawn's house, but they did it much better catching him in bed like that. Great cliffhanger ending. And I could have done without Joan Rivers, but Alec Baldwin had a good role.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2004 so...what are you all predicting? I say he's either dead or extrememly carved up...deaths of major characters coming at shocking times doesn't surprise me anymore, not after watching 6 seasons of Oz...although I knew Harold Perineau was going to leave Oz to do the Matrix sequels, Augustus Hill's death is still one of the most shocking i've seen on a TV program along with Kenny Wangler and Kareem Said, so killing off Christian Troy wouldn't surprise me... Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2004 The show would suffer too much without Christian. And even though Hill died on Oz, he was still there to voiceover episodes. I was shocked with Wangler dying cause it was the first friggin episode of season 4, you don't kill your major guys right at the start. With Oz there were always new criminals to take the place of ones that died...so it worked there.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2004 True, but some of the guys had a certain shock value to them, Adebisi for example, you could see it coming all season long, but it still seemed surreal when it actually happend...Wangler right away, like you said, he had been a major player for the first 3 seasons prior to his death...Said in the third episode of the final season even shocked me....Shillinger was no shock whatsoever, but I'm glad they kept him til the end considering he was one of the best characters on the show... as far as Christian goes, I dunno, after this season I'm kinda wondering what more they could do with his character...chances are he is probably mangled up big time which would hurt him because of how dependant he is on fucking chicks, so they can always work the low self esteem angle... Guest JMA Report post Posted October 6, 2004 I also find it doubtful that Christian was killed. That's not the Carver's MO, he wants his victims to live with their disfigurements.
LatinAssasin 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2004 I hate cliffhangers. I'm way to impatient to wait all those months for the new season. Ava being a man sorta came out of no where. It would have been better if they had at least drop a subtle hint earlier to really make an impact. The way it just came out, it felt like they just wrote it on the spot. 'We need something shocking! I know! She's a man!' I agree with JMA about the doctor being the Carver. There was something about him that didn't seem trustworthy.
BlackFlagg 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2004 if he really messes Christian up, like to the point where no amount of repair would make him look the way he used to it could be a big turn for the charecter....that face has done alot for him, and if the carver does a real number on him that could all end for him.
