Mik 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2004 Just looking for information on the following prospects. Estee Harris (NYY) Kyle Sleeth (DET) Juan Cedeno (BOS) Kevin Kouzmanoff (CLE) Felix Hernandez (SEA) David Aardsma (SF) Wardell Starling (PIT) Dioner Navarro (NYY) Lastings Milledge (NYM) Joaquin Arias (TEX) Jon Knott (SD) Anybody who follows these teams have any info on these guys? In the card industry, the big names this year are Hernandez (He's only 17), Conor Jackson (ARZ), Carlos Quentin (ARZ), Jose Capellan (ATL), and Milledge (NYM). I can give an update on Jeremy Hermida that I received in the mail from the Miami Herald. I wrote in to ask about Hermida's status, and they said he's a year and a half off. He's only 20, so by 22 he can be a regular in the Marlins lineup. Any pertinent information anybody could share would certainly be highly appreciated. Or on any other prospects for that matter. UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2004 I'm not a Mariners fan but I can tell you Hernandez is probably the best pitching prospect in the game right now. I also know Navarro for the Yankees is the Yankees top prospect, he could turn out to be a pretty good player.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2004 Only injuries can stop Felix Hernandez at this point. If you are seriously interested in prospects, pick up John Sickels' Prospect Book when it comes out in February. I find it an invaluable resource.
Guest GreatOne Report post Posted October 10, 2004 Felix I believe finished the year at San Antonio, pretty rapid development since I saw him with Everett last year against the Spokane Indians. Agreed with Al, the only thing that can keep him down is a Gil Meche/Ryan Anderson injury. That or the M's jump the gun and call him up before his time (Ken Cloude) or he ends up having to go back to T-town to get his shit together (Meche this year)

Hell, Hernandez is already in AA. To even BE in AA at 18, you need to be pretty good. He's dominating,
