JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2004 10/29 results: 1) Mano Metalico pinned Joker. 2) Lance Steel beat Darkness Crabtree, in a Best of 3 falls match. 3) Lance Steel defeated Darkness Crabtree in a Submission match. 4) Lance Steel pinned Darkness Crabtree in a Hardcore match. 5) Lance Steel beat Darkness Crabtree in a Falls Count Anywhere match. 6) Lance Steel and Darkness Crabtree left the building in a No Time Limit, No Count Out match, and vanished into the night with the referee. 7) Matt Bomboy defeated Din Mak. 8 ) European Rules Match: Claudio Castagnoli knocked out Sabian. 9) IWA Mid-South Tag Team Titles: The Wild Cards retained over F.I.S.T. (Gran Akuma & Icarus). 10) Ladies Match: Allison Danger beat Lacey. 11) Skayde pinned Hallowicked. 12) IPW Mexican Title: Oriental beat champion "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush. 13) Larry Sweeney, Crossbones, American Gigolo & ShareCropper beat Jigsaw, Jolly Roger, DJ Skittlez & Shane Storm, when Sweeney pinned Jigsaw. ======================= Comment from CZWFans: "Matches 11, 12 and 13 were all excellent. I thought that maybe Lance Steel and Darkness Crabtree would wonder back into the building at some point and finish their match since it was a "No Time Limit, Anything Goes Match". I thought it would have been very funny had that been the case. Overall a good show, but the Reading crowd sucks as most are your typical "country bumpkin, there's rasslin goin on" type fan." JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2004 Darkness Crabtree is a comedy worker, a masked 70 year old man, basically. He's hilarious, IMO. Anyways, I'm sure this was more comedy from him.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2004 I'm figuring they'll reappear tonight, still fighting, have Storm beat Crabtree, then claim to have the longest match of all-time.
Guest jobsquad Report post Posted October 31, 2004 well they came back 10/30 results 1) European Rules: Claudio Castagnoli beat American Gigolo via knock out. 2) Lance Steel and Darkness Crabtree finished the match they began the night before, fighting into the building around 7:35 pm. Steel won with a Boston Crab. The "No Count Out, No Time Limit" bout lasted 23 hours and 36 minutes. This is, without a doubt, the longest match in pro-wrestling history. 3) Niles Young beat Ravage. 4) IWA Mid-South Tag Team Titles: The Wild Cards (Eddie Kingston & Jack Marciano) retained over Joker & Sabian. 5) IPW Mexican Title: Oriental retained over Skayde, two falls to one. 6) Torneo Cibernetica: Jigsaw emerged victorious, last eliminating Larry Sweeney. The match lasted 77 minutes. Jigsaw will get the next shot at Sweeney's Young Lions Cup. credit chikarapro.com
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2004 I'm interested in seeing these shows on tape, should be fun.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2004 From CZWFans: " The Cibernetica was awesome. What sounded like it was going to confuse the hell out of me was actually very simple and well layed out. Loved the match and with 16 guys 77 minutes really flew by. Spyrazul revealing himself to be Mike Quackenbush was a nice touch and the crowd loved Jigsaw finally getting the big pin to set up with match for the Young Lions Cup against Larry Sweeney. The IWA MS tag title match was one of the best Wildcard matches I've seen this year. Both teams brought their A game and turned it up. Black Jack Marciano going through a sequence of Lucha and then proclaiming "I hate Lucha" was money. The headbutt exchange between Eddie Kingston and Joker was brutal. Watch towards the end of the match for a step up yakuza kick from Joker to Kingston, fucking sick. Niles Young and Ravage clicked really well. Ravage has a decent character for Chikara, but I don't think it was get over anywhere else IMO. Lance Steel and Darkness Crabtree finishing their match 23 hours after is started was something only Chikara could make work, followed by Crabtree's line of "I have to go #2" after the submission. Oriental and Skayde put on a great match. Such a treat being able to see both guys 2 times this weekend as their work is top notch. I'll be the first to admit I wasn't all that impressed w/ American Gigolo his first time around in Chikara but my opinion has changed drastically after the match with Claudio. I love Claudio's European to the back of the head deal, great stuff. Hopefully Gigolo is around the area more often. All in all one of the best Chikara shows I've seen, definetly worth getting the tape."
