Guest JRE Report post Posted October 22, 2004 It's to not disappoint the live fans. Similiar to how Taker use to come out and chokeslam JBL after every show.
claydude14 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2004 Not to mention give them their money's worth since they're wasting air time on Tough Enough.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2004 They did the same thing with Taker destroying Booker during April & May.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2004 From Meltzer today: "The Undertaker-Heidenreich confrontation and match taped on Sunday in Rockford, just like last week's in Manchester, was done just for the live house so fans could see Undertaker. It also gives both men ring time together with all the main players watching so they can work on getting a good enough match for Survivor Series, if that's still the plan." The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2004 I wanna see this for shits and giggles. I really wanna see if Taker can do anything with Heidenreich.
Guest Banders Kennany Report post Posted October 22, 2004 Trivia, of course they can't show this on TV. They're building up Heidenreich as a massive obstavle for any superstar, let alone Taker. They can't have Taker squashing and pinning him on Smackdown, it makes him look like a joke and no one will anticipate their likely Survivor Series matchup. I laugh at all the idiots who thought Taker coming out and pinning Heidenreich in seconds at the UK Smackdown was going to be left in the show. C'mon now, use your head a little bit. Of course, Rico made Heidenreich look like a joke when he was all over Raw earlier this year but I guess they hope we forgot that.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted October 22, 2004 When they brought back the Undertaker, I didn't think they were bringing back the Taker Vs Big Evil Man element as well. Paul Heyman=Mr. Fuji/Harvey Whippleman/Paul Bearer
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2004 Most likely..it's basically a 'House Show match'. But instead of the house crowd..they want to see what kind of reaction they get working together in front of a real crowd. so in ways...its smart.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted October 22, 2004 If the matches are complete squashes, the fans seeing it possibly won't have a desire to pay to see it on PPV (if it happens on PPV as scheduled).

You expected Rico to act like Chris Benoit? Give me a fucking break. Oh yeah and they only had like 3 minutes to work with each other anyway.
brighty 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2004 I wanna see this for shits and giggles. I really wanna see if Taker can do anything with Heidenreich. i predict the Survivor Series match will be on the same level as Taker's matches with the likes of King Kong Bundy and Kamala. just 'bad' rather than 'so bad it's actually fucking funny' like his matches with Giant Gonzales or The Underfaker. i was at the UK SmackDown and the match was like a 2 minute squash, but i can see them giving it 8-10 minutes at SurSer, considering how much of a push Heidenreich's been getting. You expected Rico to act like Chris Benoit? Give me a fucking break. Oh yeah and they only had like 3 minutes to work with each other anyway. He meant, I'm sure, how Rico beat Heidenreich 2 or 3 times in a row made the big idiot look stupid, and killed any credibility he may have had in the future (not that anyone remembers it). It was no knock on Rico's ability.

They let Taker make DDP his bitch week in and week out for months on end when he was coming in supposedly to be a threat. Maybe the way this killed the fued and DDP's career taught them a lesson.
