Guest Anglesault Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 A lot of players play well before and after their stints in NY or Boston, but play like shit while they play IN that city. I understand that, and I believe it's a weak ass excuse. "Don't fuck it all to hell" isn't unreasonable. derek lowe? yes, a sinkerballer who has shown he can be clutch in the big game situations You realize neither the Yankees nor the Cardinals would have hit me in that span of a week and a half, right? Keep that lunatic off my team.
Jericholic82 Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 you make a good point anglesault (too bad the media keeps gving all the credit to the pitchers when the yanks and cards were just collectively going thru the worst slumps ever) and actually I had reconsidered lowe already I dont know what we should do now and as a nyer I know that I dont demand from my team. I follow them exclusively with every fiber in my being but i dont deman a thing. however when you lose so badly as they did, it makes me quite sad (though Im sure there will be no sympathy since I am a fan of the evil yanks from the evil city of new york) know what? screw all you haters. Im still going to follow the yanks even thru the bad times and such Remember Anglesault Theres only two types of people- New Yorkers and those who wish they were
the max Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Theres only two types of people- New Yorkers and those who wish they were That's one of the stupidest quotes that I've ever heard. I can be a new yorker too, all I have to do is move there. It's not like I have to join a club, carry around a card and sport a wispy mustache or anything.
CanadianChris Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 There are only two types of people -- New Yorkers, and those who can rent a one-bedroom apartment for less than two grand a month.
Brett Favre Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 There are only two types of people -- New Yorkers, and those who can rent a one-bedroom apartment for less than two grand a month. Not all New Yorkers happen to live in those ridiculously expensive apartments.
The Czech Republic Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 SOme of them live in Queens.
