JoeDirt Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 Posted by Ed Ferrara on another board, responding to a question about the briefcase thing at KOTR99: "To be honest, to the best of my memory we didn't have a definitive answer as to WHO did the raising -- with all of VKM's power, it went without saying that he could have intimidated/paid off just about anyone to make sure that happened. Like it or not, we never planned to make a big deal out of it. Plus, that was a bit of "rainy-day" booking -- if we ever wanted in the future, we had an instant, ready-to-go angle. All we had to do was have it "come out" that it was [bLANK] who raised the briefcase in that match, and we had a storyline that we could have gone any number of different directions with." So there's your answer, folks! The mystery is revealed!
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 It was intimated that it was The Big Bossman who raised the case, but it was very subtly done. Just before KOTR he was kicked out of The Corporation. On Raw the day after, he came to the ring with The Corporation, and was welcomed back, with no reason given. Whether it was indeed a very sublte way of acknowledging Bossman as the guy who raised the case or not, I don't know, but it does make a sense of sorts.
The Amazing Rando Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 I'm fairly certain that the answer lies in one of the many many blank contracts than Linda gave to Mick Foley. It just has to be there.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 It was me. I was dared to pull some rope while walking down the street. I never saw the end of the rope, but learned later it was the briefcase. I am angry that Russo and Ferrara used me in such a manner. -=Mike
BHK Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 Thank You. I will now sleep better at night. ......No, seriously. That had been bugging me for a while.
iliketurtles Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 I remember hearing it was Bossman, Brisco, Patterson, or Paul Bearer. I guess since those would of been so self explanatory, they might as well did what they did.

JoeDirt Posted October 27, 2004 Author Report Posted October 27, 2004 He posts at some Vince Russo fan site forum.

Si82 Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 I always thought it was Steve Blackman becuase he was supposed to replace Shane McMahon in the main event when Shane faked an injury.
