First, he mentioned how they wanted to trade him and how he kept believing in himself. Then, when they asked him what he would say to all of the fans who waited so long for this, his response was "Oooooh, we want Alex. Well, I just kept believing in myself. I love you guys." The fact that the steakheads in Boston changed their tune, and now say how stoked they are that the Sox have Manny, doesn't erase the fact that this entire city had a collective hardon over getting A-Rod.
