1234-5678 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2004 1. Any word yet on the "Big Name" you mentioned bringing in to 3PW for the October show? 2. Any chance of ever seeing Perry Saturn or Chris Kanyon in 3PW? Thanks, Jay As of now, December is the earliest show this could happen on. If we can make it happen, and I'd put the current odds at 50/50, it will literally blow the roof off the arena, and will sell the building out even if tickets are $100 each. I'm just crossing my fingers for now, because it's BIG enough that the mainstream publicity alone will really increase public awareness of 3PW. It's not likely that you will see either Saturn or Kanyon in 3PW. Anyone have any ideas on who the "big name" could be? My money's on Dreamer, but mainstream publicity? Who's big enough to bring that anymore? Hogan?
franchise632 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2004 Perhaps Mick Foley, the two do have a previous history. I wouldnt think it will sell out at a $100 a pop for tix though. I cant think of a single person, by themselves that I would pay that much to see.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2004 Foley is already in the area for Ring Of Honor though...............I dunno, maybe you're right. It remains to be seen if it will happen at all.
Guest Evolution Report post Posted October 28, 2004 I think he's overreacting about the $100 ticket prices, since I agree that there isn't a name that I'd pay that much to see unless he was Jesus Christ (and only if he was facing Homicide--JESUS KILLAAAAAAAA), but I think it's probably a pretty big name all the same, though it'd have to be a pretty big name to put 3PW on the proverbial map. So it's probably Foley.
Michrome 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2004 It's probably Austin. I still don't think people would pay that much to see him, but I know some other promotions were talking with him months ago to come in.
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2004 No way is it Austin. Austin has too much pride to be associated with a rinky dink group like 3PW.
Stephen 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2004 I can't see foley getting mainstream publicity. Austin has worked the Arena back in 95, It wouldn't surprise me to see him show up. I don't think he would work a match, are Austin and Todd Gordon friends?. Hogan would want at least a few million to even work a 3PW match, so i doubt it is him. 1234-5678 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2004 I've actually heard slight rumblings that it is Austin.
Michrome 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2004 Austin's asking price is pretty high, but I know that we was extremely close to signing onto coming in for another "small" group in July. Gordon and Austin probably know each other, it's not impossible.

JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2004 What was the other "small" group, Mike?
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted October 29, 2004 If he really isn't blowing it out of proportion...........then it may be Austin. I would definatly say that he isn't wrestling, and he'll just make an appearance. But I don't know if Austin would do it.......especially if the WWE would be pissed by it. But if it's small enough of a thing and he's not wrestling...............they might not care at all.
Stephen 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2004 I can't see the WWE getting angry if austin worked a show for 3PW. If Foley can work with ROH then surely austin can work for 3PW. Both 3PW and ROH are no threat to the WWE and will not be in the near future. If it was TNA, then i could see the wwe having a problem with it.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2004 WWE loaned out Stevie Richards to 3PW while he was under contract. I realize there isn't much of a comparison, but keep in mind, Austin isn't under contract at all. He's free to do what he wants.
