JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2004 From Mike Johnson's column at PWInsider.com: I received a press release this morning from a new promotion named FUSION announcing that the company would debut on Friday 12/17 at the Rexplex in Elizabeth, New Jersey. According to the release, former WCW star Evan Karagias, The Amazing Red, and the Maximos are among the braintrust of the company. The release also announced that Pro Wrestling NOAH's Mitsuharu Misawa and Yoshinari Ogawa would be working the show. I've heard but not confirmed they would be working the Maximos in the show's main event. I believe it would be the first Northeastern American independent appearance for either Japanese star. Other names said to be appearing on the show (but not announced yet by the promotion) are the Backseat Boyz, Mike Modest, Donovan Morgan, Sonjay Dutt, and Bison Smith. There is no ticket information available for the show yet, although I assume it will be available on the SAT's website, www.SpanishAnnounceTeam.com shortly as it already features a FUSION logo on the splash page. The release also announced that tickets would be available at this Friday's Pro Wrestling Unplugged event in Philadelphia, PA.
Guest OSIcon Report post Posted November 2, 2004 I REALLY don't see this coming together as it as all the signs of one of those indy feds that have huge ideas but they end up either never having a show or not delivering on what was promised. Even so, if it does happen, I doubt I would be interested in going. If you told me Misawa was going to be at a show within a five hour drive from me, I would have said I'll definitely be there. That's even with the knowledge that Misawa is well past his prime and doesn't go 100% in his US apperances (see any of his Pro Wrestling IRON matches). Even so, there are very few circumstances where I wouldn't be interested in just seeing him wrestle, but this might be one of them. I really have no desire at all to see a Misawa/Ogawa vs. SAT match. Ogawa isn't that great, but I don't mind him. The SAT though are horrible and I really can't imagine those two teams having a decent or enjoyable match. I'm still skeptical about the whole thing though even coming together though.

LucharesuFan619 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2004 I know for a fact they have the RexPlex booked for that day, so I assume they intend to run the show.

JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2004 I read somewhere that this is RF's new fed...is that true?
thuganomics 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2004 Declaration of Independents reports that rumors of Court Bauer's involvement is completely false, and that RF will only be involved in a recording compacity with RFVideo. Apparently the company's owned by some Japanese folks the SAT know.

LucharesuFan619 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2004 From what Evan Karagias said in a promo at an NWA Pro Wrestling Xpress show this past weekend, Juvi & Psichosis are now wrestling The SAT. So, I dunno...that may mean Ogawa and Misawa aren't on the show anymore, or it may be a three-way dance or something. I don't know. But either way, Juvi/Psichosis lit a new fire under The SAT's ass this past weekend apparently, and they put on what was said to be a great match, and from what the report says (on DOI), Karagias said the FUSION debut show would feature The SAT vs. Juvi/Psichosis. Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Yea, for some reason I didn't see Misawa and Ogawa losing to Joel and Jose Maximo going over too well with the fans. Psi and Juvi can job without inciting a riot.
