LucharesuFan619 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 At least the Pistons actually earned their championships. Triple H on the other hand plays backstage politics, kisses ass and bangs the bosses daughter to "earn" his championships. Dude, the horse has been dead. MARTYEWR 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 I didn't catch that, but I'd laugh if the announcing went something like this (with HHH watching closely on TV): "Here are the World Champion Pistons, and if you notice something, the Pistons are all wearing pro wrestling world championship titles. The title they're each wearing was won in an incredible match by Chris Benoit earlier this year, and was also unified with another title by another fine superstar, Chris Jericho, several years back. Now, onto the game between the Pistons and Rockets..." HHH: "DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT!"
Guest bigm350 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 I'm already gonna say that on Raw this Monday we'll see a little excerpt of Ben Wallace with the belt on and JR and King blowing their loads.
dubq 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 HHH will twist it to saying "These rich famous people want to be me" Good lord.. where do you people come from?
Guest Coffey Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Wow, I can honestly say I didn't see or hear about one basketball game this year. It was the first basketball game of the season. ...and I watched it because it was so. So there's at least one person who watched the celebration for whoever asked earlier. Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2004 I'd love to see Detroit put the belts on the line come playoff time. Sure they can keep the rings and the trophy, but put the belts on the line. Hahahahaha. Get ready for Kevin Garnett and the tWo to spraypaint the shit out of those belts
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2004 Must've sucked to take out a $25,000 deposit on all those belts
theintensifier 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2004 I live in Michigan, so I got the Detriot News Paper, and on the front page of the sports section there was a picture of Ben Wallace arms raised with the "Worlds Heavyweight Championship" and the caption underneath the picture said something along the lines of it was Rasheed Wallace's idea to wear the titles. Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2004 Rasheed Wallace is definitely a big rasslin fan. I remember last year when the WWE ran their first RAW in Portland he was front row, and that just happened to be the same night he was traded to Detroit. All the wire reports talked about how he was called up to the Portland GM's office in the middle of the show when the trade went down. Ben Wallace is also a big wrestling fan, that's been mentioned by Sports Illustrated, ESPN and other sources.... And tonight on TNT they showed higlights from the first Charlotte Bobcats game, Ric Flair was front row, and everytime they showed a Bobcats highlight they cut to him at courtside giving a "WOOOOOOOOOOOO!" What put it over the top was that Charles Barkley was marking out for Flair, he gave some WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!'s of his own, and he even dropped a "TO BE THE MAN YOU'VE GOT TO BEAT THE MAN!" UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2004 I bet the kid who started this thread thought that by posting about the Pistons wearing the generic title belts: not only would the WWE now be truly mainstream, but the message board posters would sing to him with the greatest of praise. STUPID THREAD. There should be a pinned thread for useless personal crap like "Hey, I saw Kurt Angle at the comic book store signing!" or "Hey, I saw the title belts on TV!"
