Guest Banders Kennany Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 In the midst of the this recent shuffle of WWE names, it seems we've lost sight of what once the very anticipated arrival of Chris Kanyon. So my question is, will he ever debut in TNA? Has anyone heard anything of his whereabots? I think he would be a great fit, and the company is sorely overlooking a solid veteran talent if they don't pick him up.
Placebo Effect Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Kanyon is retired if I remember correctly.
thuganomics Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 He had his final match against DDP at a CyberSpace Wrestling Show this summer. I wouldn't be surprised to see him try to make a comeback if Victory Road does well though. Especially if DDP goes to work for TNA.
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 For some reason I doubt he'll be here, if only because if TNA really wanted him, he'd be there by now. At least that's how I see it. It seems like one of the parties (either him or TNA itself) just isn't interested. If they both were, I would think he'd be there by now, right?
Guest whitemilesdavis Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I think it is him. It's a shame too, because he could really be a breakout star in a fed like TNA.
Dobbs 3K Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Why'd he retire? Injuries, or just sick of the wrestling biz? It's a real shame WWE couldn't find anything for him to do...must've just been a total failure of the writing staff. If they didn't want him wrestling he could've at least been a manager or something. I thought his character was hillarious in WCW. One of my favorite Kanyon moments was a Thunder episode in Memphis where he did his imitation of Andy Kaufmann's line "Memphis, Tennessee; plowing the fields and farming the farm"...plus he's one of the few guys I've ever seen do a believable piledriver off the top rope.
Guest whitemilesdavis Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 From what I've heard, he's just sick of the biz. He was perfectly healthy when released from WWE.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I agree that if DDP ends up coming to TNA that Kanyon will probably be close behind.
Guest whitemilesdavis Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 That would be two great pick-ups for TNA, but I don't see it happening.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I think DDP could be showing up as Piper's surprise this Sunday. It would make sense to bring him in to battle the Outsiders.
