Guest Shutterspeed Report post Posted November 7, 2004 I'd call a professional exterminator rather than rely on a general Internet message board help.

Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted November 8, 2004 All the pink ones, red ones, and orange ones are all "Ladybugs" pretty much. They eat aphids, and don't harm your house. They might just look bad hibernating in clusters like they do. kkk, the only thing I could think you'd be referring to as far as "bad" ladybugs would be the mexican bean beetle: They tear up crops, but aren't going to hurt your house at all. Guest Haps' Happenin' Report post Posted November 8, 2004 I would call an exterminator as fast as can be. See if they would be willing to send one of their men over and give a free estimate on what a full extermination would cost. You could always just deal with it, though, since ladybugs aren't anything to worry about for any house.

{''({o..o})''} 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 We have those here in MN, real bad actually. Asian biting beetles or something similar. I just vaccum them up when they appear and they stay gone for a while. If that doesn't work, go for an exterminator. Guest Moses The Monkey Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Where I live (which is in the middle of nowhere in the woods), we get a huge ladybug infestation every year around the same time. It lasts a month or so, with them all over the ceilings and inside the light fixtures and such. We just have to wait for them to die naturally, or for our cats to kill them, whichever comes first. They definitely don't hurt anything. Except they can be quite annoying. And they smell awful. SO bad. It's like, if grass could ferment, that's what it would smell like. And that's my once every three months contribution to this board.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted November 9, 2004 That smell is a defense mechanism they secrete from their joints.
