Guest themachowoman Report post Posted November 8, 2004 I wonder why Big Poppa Pump wasn't brought in for the ppv. His contract ran out over 3 months ago right? They should have brought in the Steiner Brothers for a surprise appearance.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Probably because he's completely unhealthy and they have other names on their list to grab before him. Plus I think Rick pissed them off pretty bad the last time he was there.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 8, 2004 First off, Steiner is actually still under contract i believe until the end of this year, second off. He's too jacked up with injuries. Third, TNA was enough of a joke already, they dont need another wcw old timer/wwe reject. There's no appeal for a Steiner Bros return when rick can't wrestle anymore. Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Rick can wrestle... he just wrestles bad and injures everyone he touches. Scott Steiner can stay at home while his foot twitches for the next 30 years...that is if he doesn't drop dead from the mountains of steroids he's used in the last 15 years. Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2004 I wonder why the kid who started this topic keeps coming back. Share with us, tnamark. Let it all out.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Does anyone remember why TNA is pissed at Rick? I think it was just him being a jackass backstage. Honestly I don't want either Steiner. I'd rather see Buff Bagwell before I saw another Steiner on a TNA show.
Guest themachowoman Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Hahahaha. You guys are a bunch of chumps, especially the moderator, Malibu Barbie. I'm tnamark but chose a woman's post name so that it was unsuspecting and I could return to the boards. Its so gay how if you are banned you aren't even allowed to VIEW the message boards? Give me a break like this site is for privileged viewers? Its the same as any other wrestling site out there. Every time I mention someone like Jeff Hardy acting gay the moderator seems to get offended so mod I have to ask you, do you have sugar in your tank? Not that there's anything wrong with that of course. If I'm not allowed back on this board then fine, I'll just have to go to a better board like deathvalleydriver.com

Guest themachowoman Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Whether you like it or not, its a message board. People should be allowed to post their opinions. Since the subject of this forum is TNA, you should be allowed to rip on the promotion or its wrestlers if there is something that you don't agree with. Guest themachowoman Report post Posted November 9, 2004 I'm not "obsessed" with gays. But if a wrestler looks or acts gay or effeminate I will mention it. If it is part of the gimmick like Johnny B. Badd or Rico then fine but your main challenger to the title (Jeff Hardy) should not run out wearing capri pants and have his hair up in a bun when the biggest ppv is a couple days away. Who is going to take someone like that as a serious challenger?

Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Scott Steiner half crippled is still better than any of the old guys TNA is bringing in. Steiner wasn't that bad in the WWE except for tripping over his paralyzed foot.
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2004 WWE brought out Steiner's contract a while ago, and he is now a free agent. And tnamark, for the good of humanity, piss off and die.
Guest themachowoman Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Steiner may not be a good wrestler like he was back in the early 1990's but he still cuts great promos and has name value. I think that he's easily in the top 10 in the business as far as entertainment and shock value go for his promos. When he's on the screen, he keeps my attention and he's hilarious with his trash talking. How many other wrestlers in TNA can you say that for?
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Steiner has so much value he was jobbing to Rico...or was that Heidenreich?
Guest themachowoman Report post Posted November 9, 2004 He was doing jobs because when he was first brought in, he screwed up in matches with Triple H. The thing is, he should have never been that high on the card to begin with. Steiner is good for what he is and that is as an entertaining upper midcarder. I don't think that WWE gave him much of a chance after that. He is more entertaining that at least 75% of their roster and I would rather see him that someone like Gene Snitsky on my tv. Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Fuck you. You can post your opinions, but considering your posts are the drizzling shits and half the time it's about something extremely irrelevant, you don't bring any good to this board. In fact, I encourage you to find a "better board", because then someone else will have to deal with the walking, breathing cyst that appears every time you look in a mirror. Get a job, or a girl, or something, because you sure as hell aren't wanted around here.
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Steiner's screw-ups in his matches with Hunter weren't entirely his fault. He should never have been in matches that long, in the 18 minute range, but Hunter didn't care. He wanted to do a long match, regardless of whether it was best for the match itself. Steiner got exposed way too soon, and any money that could have been made with him was pissed away within 5 minutes of his Rumble match with Hunter. Granted, he would have been exposed eventually, but sensible booking would have put that off long enough for money to have been made.

WWE protected him A LOT --- namely, they didn't let him on TV in the ring until after Royal Rumble. They even sacrificed Jericho to him to try and build up interest in a rematch he did not deserve and that nobody wanted to see. If somebody is a ME'er, being expected to work a match that is not horrendous, in my opinion, is not too much to ask. -=Mike

Who the fuck cares whether a wrestlers looks gay or not ? This board does allow freedom of opinion. It just tends to not allow fuckwits like you to stick around. Gotta disagree. Of course, he shouldn't have been in the ME scene to begin with really, but if he was going to be there, they should have least been more sensible about it. Of course, he shouldn't have been in the ME scene to begin with really, but if he was going to be there, they should have least been more sensible about it. The problem is --- if they didn't stick him in the ME, he'd NEVER get there again. So, if they stick him with a midcard guy, they're still guilty of not protecting him. They tried to get what money off of him by sticking him in the ME before people (most of whom who did not see his WCW run) recognized how utterly useless he is. WWE doesn't want their ME'ers to go less than 10 minutes on PPV (I can't think of a PPV off the top of my head where the ME didn't go that long). No matter who you are. And they gave Steiner the chance to sink or swim --- which I think is all anybody can legitimately ask for. Steiner sunk. Badly. Steiner had plenty of time to get himself in shape. His being out of shape is, ultimately, a major reason why nobody should take him. If he cannot go, he shouldn't be protected. -=Mike
