I don't run, but that's because I have two very bad knees. So I ride instead. I average about 16-18 mph, which isn't that bad, but it's not fantastic.

I also lift a lot more than I would run. I don't mind being in the dungeon that is a weight room.

I was never properly taught how to start, so my 40 yard is like 6.0 or something lousy.

I'm good at long distance. Don't have any numbers though.

If you like long distance and are competitive, you should enter a local 5K or 10K race. They're addictive.

This is a couple of years back, before I discovered the wonderful combination of knee surgery/college life, so there's no way in hell I could do this now. But as far as PR's go.

100m: 11.5

200m: 23.7

400m: 53.2

1 mile: 5:08

Yeah, that's a lycra racesuit.

There's a good explanation, but it will require some detail, and it's 2:30am here and I'm loaded and need to be at work at 8:30am. So if there's specific call for explanation, I will oblige later on.

If I were you, I'd be frightened that I knew that.

The material of which the suit is made from. Ah, forget it.

I ran a bit in my teens, mostly from policemen that raided our rural bonfire drinking parties. I never got caught, and that's alright for being a smoker. I'll run stairs and hills pretty frequently just so I don't have a heart attack when I'm 30, but I don't really time myself or run competitively. I figure if I'm covered in sweat and gasping, I did enough for the day.

I can't run long distance b/c I'm out of shape. But I can pull off a fast 40 because my legs are so long and I guess I can move for a big guy.

When I worked out for the Sooners they clocked my 40 at 5 flat. Course my 100 would probably be in the 15 range....lol. Because at about 60 I'd be like "Hold on I need to catch my breath!" Ok not that bad...
