JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2004 Exactly how long WAS the SD Survivor Series Match? Longer than last years 5-on-5 rush-fest? I think last year's was 15:00, this was about 12:00. I propse they retire those matches. They're outdated and useless. It depends. I liked the SS matches last year. I think they're fine if you put something on the line in the match instead of just tossing shit out there.

Guest JRE Report post Posted November 15, 2004 I wish Snitsky would come and help Heidenreich win this match, just to shock us all. Yeah...or they might want to save a Snitsky/Heidenreich Undertaker beat-down for the Rumble, and then have Kane return there

I think last year's was 15:00, this was about 12:00. I propse they retire those matches. They're outdated and useless. I disagree. They can be used to create or pay off multiple storylines in the same match. At the same time, the WWE has a ton of shitty workers and they can let shitty workers be in good matches just by booking them right.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 15, 2004 Were they THAT strapped for time considering the card has 6 matches? I guess the RAW Match gets about 40 minutes like last year, and Lita/Trish gets 20 (vomits). There were 7 matches on the card, which is one short of the standard far and the Raw match went 25 minutes last year.

LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2004 To be honest, It's not as bad as I thought it would be............ Then again, I haven't been paying attention to it much
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 15, 2004 UT/Gonzalez only lasted 8:00 though. I can just complain longer than that. HBK vs. HHH went 50:00 and I fell asleep twice during it.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 15, 2004 I propose they stay, if the writers know how to fucking book them. I say let RAW keep them and not Smackdown, considering two years straight the SD one has sucked balls or was super rushed. Both shows did the same thing 1. Pick eight or ten random people, some of which have no issue whatsoever 2. Align them along heel and face lines, some creating absurdly stupid teams. 3. In the case of Raw, add a stupid ass stipulation to get people to care at all.
Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2004 Steve Keirn (or is it Kiern) is a road agent...I hope he doesn't come back, considering he's famous for being SKINNER (and that guy who teamed with Stan Lane) I forgot about that... Damn... on a side note... he came down to Memphis last week for a 6-man tag. Lawler & Rock n' Roll Express vs. Stan Lane & Steve Kiern (Fabulous Ones) and announcer COrey Maclin. Negative stars of course... Holy shit.......are you serious? Why not throw The Midnight Express and Freebirds in there also? yeah. Last month, they had Terry Funk, Kamala, Koko B. Ware, Grandmaster Sexay, Rikishi, Mordecai, King Mabel, and Lawler all on one show. THe main event was Terry Funk & Corey Maclin (They love main eventing shitty announcers in Memphis these days, this guy has no fucking talent) vs. Lawler and Jimmy Hart (yes, the vermin lives). Hell... if ya'll would want me too... I could recap Memphis wrestling every week for the hell of it.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 15, 2004 Anglesault: They're not ALWAYS pointless and out of date. ...at least the main event one from 2001 wasn't... So because it was relevant in 2001, that means it absolutely isn't outdated in 04. Can't argue that logic.

Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 15, 2004 The Rumble has been predictable every year since 1999 (1997 if you think like Russo). That kinda makes it useless. it's still WWE's biggest draw after Mania and it's the most popular gimmick match ever with the exception of Wargames. The predicatablity is a issue but that's mainly because of WWE's insistance on putting the title shot stip on there. It should be for simple bragging rights. The last unpredictable one was 2001 where it was Austin/Rock. We knew it was the Mania program but the question of who would be champion was still lingering. And all of the faces had had dealings with Evolution before that build up.
