nl5xsk1 Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 ^ You're missing the point. Out here in western PA there's still an environment that exists where pre-pubescent children are predominantly exposed to only what their parents choose. Little Johnny may be staying up a little passed his bed time to see the first quarter because of all the heat and buildup to the game. Why should his father have to explain to his son the sexual innuendos he just witnessed before a FOOTBALL game? Wait ... how do people in Western PA dress when they go to a beach, or a pool, or anywhere else that a woman would normally wear a bathing suit? (Because there's more to see when a girl is in a bathing suit than they showed on MNF.) How about daytime soap operas, where there's promiscuity, women in lingeries, etc etc. How can parents be 100% sure their kids aren't seeing anything 'wrong' there? (Because there's much more sexual innuendo, and that's on during the middle of the day) Or how about the Sears catalog, with their bathing suit ads, bra ads, panty ads, etc.? While obviously not riddled with sexual innuendo, there is more TnA in those ads than in seeing a naked back. Are those taboo as well?
2GOLD Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Dear GOD! Did you see that?!?!?! That woman FLASHED...she flashed her ANKLE! Well I will NOT stand for this! My children deserve to be wholesome and kept away from such..such flith! And for the parents who are like, "how do I explain that to my children?!?!" Simple: "The woman dropped her towel and hugged the man. When you are older, you'll understand. Until that time, you don't do it but you can come to me with any questions you have about it. Alright?" Yeah, god f'n FORBID you have to be a parent for more than 20 seconds a week.
The Man in Blak Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 I'm offended. They should have used Eva Longoria instead. Agreed. After seeing the clip again, Nicole looks eerily like Sable. Which made my little buddy wilt in pain. Is the clip available online anywhere? Is nobody going to address the real issues?
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 I hate this fucking shit. Seeing dead people on the news = fun and informative. Naked women's back = obscene OK, now everybody can officially fuck themselves.

Is nobody going to address the real issues? go to fark.com ... they have an iFilm link of it (be forewarned, though, iFilm sucks ass). the link might be kind of far down, or in the archives, by now ... this news is a few days old now
Rob E Dangerously Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nf...ungy-reax_x.htm Dungy said ABC wouldn't use Dallas Cowboys coach Bill Parcells, Eagles coach Andy Reid or a team owner in such a scene and consider it "just a spoof." "Take me Bill Parcells! Take me!"

"Take me Bill Parcells! Take me!" Actually, I could see Jerry Jones or Al Davis going for a shit like this...
ant_7000 Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 No, I doubt Parcells would do it since he kisses men. I can understand where Tony is coming from about the whole stereotyping issue.
Precious Roy Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 How many people REALLY looked at that and thought of a negative stereotype?!? Honestly. It never even crossed my mind, I just thought the thing was cheesier than hell because TO is a total goofball and it left me wondering if he always acts that way when women try to seduce him. And it was TO because it's fuckin TO, he's the biggest draw to that game, the biggest star in the league right now. If some white boy was the a-list star they would have used him. I didn't even make that connection to, Dungy's words, "Kobe Bryant," (LMFAO) when I saw it. And why is the idea of a black man and a white woman STILL considered a negative stereotype in our society, BY A BLACK MAN NO LESS?!!?! Seems like the people complaining about that are the one's with the hangups. This whole thing is beyond retarded.
Dr. Tom Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 Maybe Dungy thought Nicollette didn't have enough ghetto booty...
KingPK Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 See? They should have used Eva Longoria. Then everyone would be happy.
Highland Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 Things like this make me glad to be a Canadian where they can air softcore porn on network television after 9 PM. I will never understand the American fascination with censorship. I agree wholeheartedly.

LaParkaMarka Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 See? They should have used Eva Longoria. Then everyone would be happy. True. Eva is much hotter than the skanky blonde.

Youd be more offended by what happens on general hospital and when did football become a family show? its a game in which violence must occur (as opposed to baseball) on the west coast the game airs at 6 but its still a stretch with all the sex on tv already is this really a big deal? Welcome once again to Bushs America
Highland Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 (edited) Apparently, it wasn't as much about sexual innuendo as about racism. Edited November 21, 2004 by Highland
Hogan Made Wrestling Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 Remember, the NFL is the same league that decided J.C. Chasez was "too racy".
Guest Anglesault Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 People seriously need to get the hell over themselves. Janet Jackson was an issue. This wasn't.
