I saw it Wednesday and it was not as good as some of the episodes but definitely funny.

Fuck, SpongeBob has tons of great episodes:

 

-SpongeBob and Patrick steal a balloon

-Squidward moves to squid town

-Krusty Krab training video

-SpongeBob and Sandy's "fun week"

-SpongeBob works at the Krusty Krab

-Patrick's secret box

-Almost every SpongeBob at driving school episode

-Patrick's parents pay a visit

-Every Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy episode

 

Tons more. Great fucking show.

I'm a sucker for "Sweet, Sweet Victory" myself.

Spongebob channeling the spirit of hair bands = ratings.

 

"Imitation Krabs" is their best episode, IMO. Honourable mentions go to "Band Geeks", "Squids Day Off" and "Mermaidman and Barnacle Boy IV".

Somebody answer me a question Ebert posed:  what does Krabby's and the Chum Bucket serve if not crab meat and fish guts?  Are they all cannibals?

I think in one episode they mentioned that the patty contained kelp. Could be mistaken though.

 

I loved the movie. Spongebob and Patrick getting shitfaced on icecream was great.

Bought the DVD earlier this week.

 

I wonder how the new season will fold out now that Plankton knows the secret formula.

The movie was good in the sense that it was pretty much an extended episode, although King Neptune was a dumb character to add in, he almost kill Crabs but sends Plankton to jail? I know its a cartoon and all but still...

 

Oh and Patrick was great in this movie.
