ChrisMWaters Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 OK, seeing Savage again for the first time in a long time in TNA made me think of some questions: -Did Savage's "Grab Opponent's head, leap over the top rope and guillotine Opponent's neck over top rope" move ever have an official name? -How long was it between his first run as "Macho Man" to his run as "Macho King" where he changed his ring attire style? -What was the date he first joined the nWo, and what did he do to join? -About when did he introduce the "Word Up Mach" theme that he used in his last run in WCW? -What was his last match in WCW? -What was his last match in WWF before he first became a Raw commentator? -Did they ever give an on-camera reason for Miss Elizabeth vanishing from WWF TV? That's all I have for now.
Lil' Bitch Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 -How long was it between his first run as "Macho Man" to his run as "Macho King" where he changed his ring attire style? I think he first came into the WWF in 1986 and defeated Duggan for the crown in late 1989. -What was the date he first joined the nWo, and what did he do to join? Superbrawl VII when he cost Piper the title match with Hogan. -About when did he introduce the "Word Up Mach" theme that he used in his last run in WCW? When he came back in mid 1999. -What was his last match in WCW? Against Dennis Rodman at Road Wild 1999 -What was his last match in WWF before he first became a Raw commentator? I dunno about before he was semi-retired, but his final WWF match (televised anyway) was against Crush at WM X.
Guest Joshua A. Norton Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 -Did Savage's "Grab Opponent's head, leap over the top rope and guillotine Opponent's neck over top rope" move ever have an official name? The Macho Neck Snap. Austin Aries does it as well.
ChrisMWaters Posted November 22, 2004 Author Report Posted November 22, 2004 Austin Aries does it as well. Who?
ChrisMWaters Posted November 22, 2004 Author Report Posted November 22, 2004 -How long was it between his first run as "Macho Man" to his run as "Macho King" where he changed his ring attire style? I think he first came into the WWF in 1986 and defeated Duggan for the crown in late 1989. I think I worded the question wrong. I was just wondering when he first changed his ring attire from the briefs tights to his "Electric Cowboy" outfit.

Guest LooneyTune Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 He started wearing the long tights in January of 1990 IIRC. Before that he always wore the speedo tights (including his ICW days etc.).
yankovic fan Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 In the December 93 issue of WWF magazine (could be wrong on the year, it's the one with Shawn Micheals getting pampered by make up artists on the cover) Macho Man wrote a letter to the magazine in the "news" section indicating that he and Elizabeth had indeed divorced. No clue on how valid the letter was.
Guest Kimaster1976 Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 His last match before he became a Raw commentator was January 1993 at the Royal Rumble, the night before the first ever episode of Monday Night Raw. He was runner up in the event to Yokozuna.
Matt Young Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 -About when did he introduce the "Word Up Mach" theme that he used in his last run in WCW? -What was his last match in WCW? 1. Just to clarify, it was, "What up, Mach?" he started using it in '99 when he brought in Gorgeous George and had his little harem with her, Madusa, and Miss Madness '99 (Mona/Molly Holly). 2. His last match was his return as well. It was a battle royal on Thunder in mid-late 2000, I believe for the World Title.
Guest krazykat72 Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I think he first came into the WWF in 1986. He debuted sometime in Summer/Fall of '85 Cawthorn's site has the exact date. He was puched hard and strong off the bat as he had his first MSG main event with Hogan by the end of the year (12/30/85 If I recall) and made the finals of the Wrestling Classic Tournament. -Paul Jacobi-

Actually he wasnt in the battle royal. the battle was between the members of the new blood and the millionaires club. Macho came out at the end to save hogan and the others old guys from a beatdown.
IWD Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Has Savage actually wrestled at all since Road Wild '99? I presume people wouldn't be able to afford him in the Indies... Cheers.
Placebo Effect Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Has Savage actually wrestled at all since Road Wild '99? I presume people wouldn't be able to afford him in the Indies... Cheers. He no-showed the WWA Revolution PPV, wrestled Rodman on that Generation-Z or whatever shitty tour that was called, and I think that's about it.
Slayer Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 His last match before he became a Raw commentator was January 1993 at the Royal Rumble, the night before the first ever episode of Monday Night Raw. He was runner up in the event to Yokozuna. Savage was also a commentator in '91, from shortly after Warrior beat him at WM7 to his return in October so he could feud with Jake the Snake

Savage wrestled Pat Tanaka on a match that was made available only on his website in 2001/2 whatever...he may have fought others as well Steve Kiern was involved in this all somehow

Guest LooneyTune Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Did Savage wrestle on T.V. at all between Wrestlemania IX and Survivor Series 1993? I remember him fighting Yokozuna on the March to Wrestlemania Special, but don't remember him in a match again until the Survivor Series 93 match where he replaced Hennig. After that, I know he wrestled on a normal basis until Wrestlemania X where he had his final televised match.
MillenniumMan831 Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 He had a match against evil Doink where he had to fend off 2 of them so that would suggest that it was between WMIX and SurSer93.
landy1987 Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 looking on the History of WWE site, Savage was still regularly wrestling on house shows and dark matches at TV tapings throughout 93, with a couple of the matches been released on video, and the Raw match with Doink in August. He was also in the IC Title Battle Royal in October I believe
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Was the above match with Doink where we got the debut of the Macho Midget? I completely forgot about that Battle Royale, which is amazing because it's probably one of the best ones WWF/E has done.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 Was the above match with Doink where we got the debut of the Macho Midget? I completely forgot about that Battle Royale, which is amazing because it's probably one of the best ones WWF/E has done. Yah great battle royale. Especially when it gets to Razor & Macho vs Quebecers, Martel & Adam Bomb.
Slickster Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 The Macho Midget debuted on the 8/2/93 edition of RAW, helping Savage pick up the win in a singles match over Doink. On the 8/9 RAW, Macho Midget/Bushwhackers def. Blake Beverly/Brookyln Brawler/Little Louie. (I should know; I was there.) The IC battle royal occurred on 9/27/93.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 1, 2004 Author Report Posted December 1, 2004 Just wondering... Did the Macho Midget eventually become Dink?
Guest LooneyTune Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 I'm almost 100% sure that was Tiger Jackson, since he was the only midget besides Little Louie WWF used in 1993, and he was built exactly like him.
IWD Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 Savage wrestled Pat Tanaka on a match that was made available only on his website in 2001/2 whatever...he may have fought others as well Was this PPV on his site or something? Did anyone watch it? If so, any opinions? Cheers.
Slayer Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 I'm almost 100% sure that was Tiger Jackson Was he the Indian midget wrestler?
