JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 These two have the most ridiculous storylines in WWE history, I think. But let's work with the crap given us and put something together here. Okay, first off they were brothers and Kane set the house on fire, causing Kane and Taker's parents to die. Or wait, did Undertaker get revealed as having set that fire? Anyways, Paul Bearer raised Kane and Taker separately. And Bearer was really Kane's father, so Kane and Undertaker are half brothers. Right? Oh, and when Kane was little he might have had sex with Katie Vick's dead body. And then they finally collided in the WWF. And Kane buried Taker alive, so Taker came back as the dead man again and beat his brother at Wrestlemania this year. Can you add any "facts" to this shit? Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 29, 2004 Trying to figure out the complete origins of Kane/Undertaker feud is like trying to memorize the first 1,000,000,000th digits in pi, but I'll try... Paul Bearer first blackmailed the Undertaker in the Spring of 1997 about his past, and if he wouldn't let him be his manager again, he would reveal it. Sometime around Summerslam, Paul Bearer accused the Undertaker of burning the funeral parlor where he lived with his parents down, killnig his parents and brother Kane inside. Later on, Bearer reveals Kane is still alive, and that he would come for the Undertaker. At Bad Blood, Kane debuts and costs Undertaker the match. The week before the Rumble in 98, Kane "turns face" and joins Undertaker by helping him fend off D-X. Kane reveals it was all a set up, and helps lock Undertaker in the casket, and moments later set it on fire....except the Undertaker wasn't in it. The Undertaker returns and shows off he has more powers than Kane, and ends up beating him at WM XIV. Weeks before Unforgiven, Kane brings the caskets of his "parents" from the graves and chokeslams Undertaker through one. Undertaker sets Kane on fire at Unforgiven. I give up after this. 1234-5678 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 After that there was an Austin/Taker vs. Mankind/Kane feud, and then Taker and Kane were revealed to be in cahoots........... Then Taker turned heel and Kane starting teaming with X-Pac? I dunno, something like that.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 29, 2004 Paul Bearer turned on Kane, Undertaker turned heel, and Kane went nuts. The corporation then made him do things they wanted or they'll send him back to the nuthouse. The Summer of '99, Undertaker/Show destroyed X-Pac, Kane's partner, which triggered the Tag Title Feud that Under/Show completely dominated. When Undertaker returned in 2000, Kane and he joined forces again, but Kane turned heel sometime around Fully Loaded by chokeslamming Undertaker through the ring. His reasoning was he was a monster. Summerslam 2000 was a lame brawl where Undertaker ripped off Kanes mask, and no decision occured. They stayed apart after the Unforgiven 4-Way when the Rumble of 2001 came up, and again, were they together again? 2001 Rumble, Kane is being teamed up on by 5 people (and giving a 56 minute performance, probably his best) and Undertaker helped him when he entered, then they destroyed Scotty not so Hotty. They teamed up into the spring of 2001 as the Brothers of Destruction, until Kane won the IC Title from Triple H, and thats it. They reunited around Summerslam and won the WCW & WWF Tag Titles, then after Survivor Series, Undertaker turned heel. They wouldn't make contact with each other again until Survivor Series 2003 when Kane buried the undertaker. At the Raw after 2004 Rumble, the Undertaker had this bizarre video play that spooked Kane, and this went on for months. WM XX, Undertaker; Texas Ranger squashes Kane in 7:00. Kanes final record vs. Undertaker: 1-2934939 (he pinned him for #1 Contendership the night after Over the Edge 1998)
Vanhalen 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2004 If you have the Summerslam 2000 on tape, UT cuts a promo after the event basically saying he will never fight Kane again and he will stay out of his business from that moment on

The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2004 You know, as ridiculous as their whole angle is, I really did enjoy the one night on RAW where it was revealed that Taker's family died in the fire, mainly because of the promo 'Taker cut, explaining himself. I enjoyed how they managed to humanize the character, and give a rationale for him being "dead" - basically, with all his family stripped away, he turned towards a life of death itself (as bizarre as that sounds) and became obsessed with it. He then claimed to be drawing power from the souls of his dead parents, which may have been just a WEE bit over-the-top, but at least it was a better reason for no-selling then "I'm dead. RAR." Speaking of which, was it ever confirmed that the ashes in the urn were those of his parents? I know it was rumoured, but I dunno if they ever actually came out and said it. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 wow metal that made a lot of sense. good thinking there. of course that all went to hell when taker turned heel in 98 and basically admitted that he had started the fire himself, but good idea on the whole undertaker character
CBright7831 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Dont forget Summerslam 2000, where Kane turned on Undertaker, lost and then it was all forgotten about Kane turned on Taker a few times RR 98 RAW 2000 And vice versa: Taker turned on Kane a few times. That's just a few.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 perhaps there is some Writer that still backs the original orgins crap of the Kane Undertaker saga somewhere in the catacombs of the Titan Towers. and he will send word up through the self exile on after the loss at Armageddon, Taker jumps ship to Raw just to Destroy Gene Snitsky for taking Kane out and threatening his Sister in Law..... and then the Logic Train hits the poor Writer before he can get that scrap of paper to the desk of Stephanie.
