Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 All season, USC struck me as a team like the Patriots. They just win, even if it's ugly or against someone also incredibly good. A team that can string together a different way to win week in and week out like that (but turn it on at will and flat-out destroy teams as well) is just so dangerous (like Ohio State last year and the year before as well). Oklahoma is, to me, more of the traditional style of college football juggernaut this year, that being the one that doesn't really let anyone get close, wins convincingly week in and week out, maybe one close game, etc. I have a sense of the emerging pro tendency to be a team that just wins without appearing extremely good starting to get into the college ranks. USC let Cal, Stanford, Oregon State, and UCLA all get close, but they still have a goose egg in that loss column. I'm not so sure that this Oklahoma team could survive that many close shaves. It's those close games that really make a team come together. Oklahoma, while very very good, just hasn't had the comparative team solidifying USC's had via their own close contests. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 If OU loses this game...is anyone else expecting an Anglesaultesk meltdown of Dama? Cause I get the feeling we'd get one. A major one.
Sass 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 I'll give you a fair chance here 2GOLD in case you missed the final post on the last page: On page 4, I said to *NOT* mess with Dama in *any* shape or way until the USC/OU game happens or else you're plunked from the board. If anyone else tries to burn Dama's ass in any sort of way after I make this post then consider yourself banned. I am sick and fuckin tired of people egging Dama on but I'm also exhausted from seeing him allow himself to be goaded into slap fights. Carry on.
