which I've caught clips of here and there

 

Uh-huh. Sounds like firm enough grounds to form an opinion about a show that ran 10 seasons (okay, 9 and some change).

When I say clips, I'm referring to several shorts, the feature-film, and a couple episodes. Simply put, when each episode of the show is two hours long, and I haven't been hooked by what I've seen, I'm not going to invest any more time in it. I have enough trouble finding time for films and shows I want to see

I just cannot understand why people find this show funny. I really can't.

Not the comedian, he's hilarious, but the sailor.

 

But then I guess he was never meant to be funny.
