1234-5678 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 I'm agreeing with pinjockey here. The NFC is so bad that they could still win it, and remember they got to the NFC title game last year with Westbrook out, a horrible run defense, and crappy WRs. And a miracle catch didn't hurt either..............

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Seriously, I'd love to see McNabb, Owens, or Westbrook break their leg or neck on another pointless score. That'll show Andy Reid. Man, I better be careful of what I say. This still doesn't change the fact that the Eagles embarassed the Packers on every level a few weeks ago. No, but it sure makes me feel a lot better about it now. And Vitamin X he wasn't injured going for a "useless" score in this game. The game was still up in the air. If you'd read the quote box, you'd noticed I made that comment during the Packers-Eagles thread, where the game was decided by the end of the 1st quarter. I just quoted myself to prove my clairvoyance. Anything can happen in sports, hell if the Red Sox won the World Series, then who knows what will happen. Go Cardinals! (they're still mathematically alive, right? If not.. Go Chargers!)

You're a sore loser who cares more about a player getting hurt then your team getting slapped around like the proverbial red headed stepchild.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 No, but it sure makes me feel a lot better about it now. If I were you, I'd be a hell of a lot more worried about losing to Jacksonville at Lambeau in an environment that favored the Packers.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 20, 2004 To be fair, Lambeau just isn't what it used to be anymore. Their home record is 4-4 this season, and away they're 4-2 (with the final two games to be decided in the coming weeks obviously). Then you're not a very good football fan. You're a sore loser who cares more about a player getting hurt then your team getting slapped around like the proverbial red headed stepchild. When did I ever jump up and go "YAY!! T.O'S INJURED!". I don't wish a career or season-ending injury on anyone, and even then Owens wasn't the only one who made the Packers look bad that day. I don't care, but at least it gives me hope for the playoffs if he doesn't play. Nothing wrong with that.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Well really who in the NFC can beat them aside from The Falcons? And even then the Falcons are going to have to go into Philly and do the job and I don't think they'll do it. That defense is playing well enough to shut Mr. Vick down. I still say we're going to the Super Bowl. *puts on his McNabb jersey* And Vitamin I just noticed that so I'm sorry.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Carolina I feel could definitley give them trouble. Fox is a good enough defensive coach to win in Philly(he's done it before).
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Go Cardinals! (they're still mathematically alive, right? If not.. Go Chargers!) Yes, yes they are. If Seattle loses the last two games, St. Louis loses two (with Philly and the Jets on the schedule, very possible) and Arizona wins two, then the Cards would win the horrible NFC WEST and go into the playoffs. With a home game no less! If Arizona goes to the playoffs, I don't think I'll be able to talk for a month.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 If Arizona wins the NFC West, Mike Holmgren and Mike Martz should both be thrown off a cliff. If Arizona and New Orleans both make the playoffs, then the NFC Wild Card round should just be eliminated and the 3 division winners(Philly, Atlanta, and the North winner) and the second place North team should all just play each other in the divisionals. On a side note: I would laugh my ass off if Haslett snuck into the playoffs at 8-8 or 7-9 and still kept his job.
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 20, 2004 I'm cheering for the Cards to win the NFC West. I hope they somehow make it to the SuperBowl too. Fuck Philli, Atlanta, and Green Bay. Go Cards! Also if TO's career does somehow end shortly then I won't feel a bit sorry for him. I don't care what Banky says, this guy has young children looking up to him and he calls Jeff Garcia a faggot in a magazine article and then calls Ray Lewis a murderer after he was aquitted. The Ray Lewis situation isn't like OJ either where you knew he did it and got off due to politics. If I never see TO again it'll be too soon.

Slovakia 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 I wish Ray Lewis had a season-ending injury instead of Owens. Lewis is scum, Owens is just irritating.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 I don't mind Owens. I wanted to see him play in the playoffs.
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 21, 2004 Besides his dance before the game starts what does Lewis do? He doesn't show anybody up on the field from the games I've seen, he works extremely hard and is a team player, he's taken Ed Reed under his wing and goes over film with him every week, he doesn't go bitching to the media every week...what does he do? Sure he doesn't make great commercials, but that's no reason to hate the man.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 Sure he doesn't make great commercials, but that's no reason to hate the man. That's a great reason to hate him. Atleast T.O's line about him being the best reciever in an NFL 2K5 commercial was decent. Peyton Manning ain't no slouch either.
Cartman 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 Screw this "showing up opponents" crap. If opponents let his ass score they SHOULD get shown up. When a linebacker comes out of nowhere and drills a QB then taunts him, I love it! Makes the game more entertaining when you let it's players show some emotion and personality. Sure he doesn't make great commercials, but that's no reason to hate the man. I can understand why people hate Owens. Sure he's a showboat and brags a lot, but don't try and make anyone feel sorry for Ray Lewis because Owens taunted him in a game. Heck Hines Ward was taunting Owens during the game against Pittsburgh, but did Owens call Ward a coward after the game? And Lewis is one to talk about calling anyone a coward considering he plea bargained during the trial in 2000.
Slovakia 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 Ray Lewis does too many of those "When we meet on the field, there will be pain. You will feel the pain!" interviews that are so cliche.
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 21, 2004 don't try and make anyone feel sorry for Ray Lewis because Owens taunted him in a game. and don't you try placing words in my mouth. I stated the thing with Lewis and it had nothing to do with that stupid dance. If you're going to debate something with me then try reading what I put first. Sass 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 I guess Andy Reid won't have to wear his tights at the end of the season. Tough break for the Eagles and TO.
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 Ray Lewis does too many of those "When we meet on the field, there will be pain. You will feel the pain!" interviews that are so cliche. They're cliche when other guys do em, but Lewis practically invented it.
Slovakia 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 Well thanks a lot, Ray. It's a freaking game. I don't need the other guys to feel the pain and punishment of our DEE-fense~!, I just want to win.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 Besides his dance before the game starts what does Lewis do? He doesn't show anybody up on the field from the games I've seen What like acting like he won the Super Bowl every time he makes a tackle when the RB has already gained 5 yards? I don't mind not liking Owens, as I stated in another thread a while ago (I think) I have found it less fun to be an Eagles fan between Sundays this year with him being an ass. But please don't say that Lewis does not try to show other players up.
Slovakia 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 Yeah, dancing and strutting on every play, especially when you're getting your ass kicked on the scoreboard (like that one Packers guy) gets annoying. There's a fine line between No Fun League and No Fucking Lamewads.
Guest bigm350 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 Well, look for Philly to choke in the NFC title game again. Realistically, I don't think the Eagles, even with Owens, would stand a chance against New England, Pittsburgh, or Indy, if they played any one of those teams in the Super Bowl. Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted December 21, 2004 Well, I do actually feel bad for Eagles fans......well, at least the ones that aren't from Philly. Hell, I really DON'T think that Philly will be going to the Super Bowl this year as I honestly thought that Carolina was the team to beat at the beginning of the year. Now, with them being on their streak.....I still would say it's possible. Really though, this is good for most other football fans as it makes the NFC even more wide open. But, no matter what I'm saying the AFC takes the Bowl in a route. Go Steelers. Fuck Philly.
