Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 24, 2004 I like the ring of KotzenCheese-Head though. I don't think I can come up with a name for Vitamin-X.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2004 Minnesota can still backdoor into the playoffs by a Rams or Panthers loss. Hopefully the Rams lose out because I don't want to see Martz in the playoffs at all... not because I'm afraid he'll win, but because I hate looking at him EDIT: nevermind, they could still clinch this week if the Rams lose, which in turn would also be a good thing for Washington, and thus still make the Vikings less of a tough opponent next week. I don't say this often.......GO EAGLES oN MNF~!
Slayer 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2004 I'm still concerned about the Redskins next week anyway, just because I can see a repeat of the Arizona debacle from last year (go nowhere team playing spoiler)
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 24, 2004 You leave my screenname out of this. I'm like, the only person around here who hasn't gotten their name changed, I'm not about to start now.

Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2004 Props to Minnesota on a pair of awesome contests. Find a better coach, please.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 24, 2004 No, PLEASE don't. With a better coach, they might be able to put something in that trophy case. I actually feel bad for Daunte Culpepper. The man is easily one of the best QB's in the NFL and doesn't get nearly as much hype as Favreception or the Manning bros. I wonder what GB will do next week for the Bears game. There can't be much to gain or lose from winning next week, which is ABSOLUTELY for bragging rights. And it's official now with today's win, for the first time in god knows how long Green Bay's away record will finish being better than their record at home. That's insane. Paul Stanley 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2004 Just got back from the 'Dome, jeezus it was a tight game. A fight between a cheesehead and a vike fan broke out in my section, over the 98 season nonetheless. Good game, though.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 25, 2004 That had to be Minnesota's most magnificent chokejob ever. That 98 team was unstoppable until they ran into the Falcons.
packwingfn 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2004 For the Chicago game, I would have Favre play the first half or quarter to keep the streak going and stuff then sit Favre for the 2nd half or quarter. Bring in Craig Nall, There really is no point of playing the starters.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2004 Payton has had two shots at the endzone and done nothing. I wonder if it's like an unbreakable record....he'll never throw another TD.....
fazzle 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2004 Personally, I hope Peyton Manning does ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING......this week. Then he'll be pissed off and destroy the damn Broncos next week.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2004 After watching the first half of this Colts game it is obvious to me that they are so tentative due to the record BS that they can't do anything. Seriously, the announcers are hyping the Chargers but it's not like their D has done much...it's just the Colts are so nervous in the red zone due to this record nonsense that they can't score. Cartman 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2004 Choketon Manning at it again. I would LOVE it if he didnt throw any more TD's this week or next week.

Seriously, the announcers are hyping the Chargers but it's not like their D has done much...it's just the Colts are so nervous in the red zone due to this record nonsense that they can't score. Y'know, Brett Favre really put the whole idea of records in pro sports into perspective when he talked about not wanting to keep his consecutive TD streak alive against Philadelphia. He said that as you grow older, you don't care as much about setting records and all that, because you realize that the only reason they keep records around is to have someone break em, that's it. It's simple logic, and it really makes it seem like nonsense with the whole TD pass record thing.

The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2004 Well...so far Baltimore and Jacksonville appear to be elimiinating themselves from playoff talk. If the Bills can take care of the 49ers at 4...we're down to 3 teams (Jets, Broncos and Bills in that order) for the 2 wild card spots in the AFC.

There's already rumors that if Pitt wins today, they'll rest their starters in Buffalo next week. Denver has to play Indy next week. So Buffalo is looking really, really good right now. Not to mention, Jets still have to win a game to clinch 5th seed, and Bills hold tie-breakers over them Problem with Denver in Indiapolis nextweek is that Colts might not be playing for anything, and might rest Manning for most of the game. The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2004 Yeah...but Indy isn't going to have anything to play for either against Denver. I'll just take 0-4 to in it in the last week of the season as it's own miracle for now...and pray for a little more help. That's assuming we beat San Fran.
