Chazz Posted December 26, 2004 Report Posted December 26, 2004 O.K., so a buddy of mine was driving home from work one day when he came upon an old couple driving extremely slow In front of him. Suddenly the old man stopped In the middle of the road for no reason, causing my friend to (slowly) crash Into him from behind. When my friend got out to access the damage, the front of his car was pretty dinged up, especially for a low speed wreck. Surprisingly, the old couple's car wasn't damaged at all. The old man told my buddy something to the effect of "There really Isn't any damage", and drove off before Ed, (my friend), could get any Insurance Info. Now here Is where It gets weird: When Ed got home he lied to his Dad and told him that somebody broadsided his car In the parking lot while he was at work, (Ed works at Wall Mart) , and that they didn't leave a note. Apparently Ed and his Dad don't have the best Father/Son relationship. If Ed's had actually told the truth as to what had happened, which he should have anyways, his father would've layed Into him for not quickly taking down the couple's plate no. That In turn would've lead to a verbal/physical altercation with pop. So to avoid all that, Ed lied. But It wasn't over yet. Ed's dad made him go down to the local police station and file a complaint based on Ed's lie to dad. My question to you Is this: If the police found out that Ed was lying about the whole ordeal, could he be arrested for filing a false Police Report? I apologize for being long winded, but I had to tell the story to get to the question. And for those of you who might be wondering, yes, Ed Is the same buddy from my "An Unusual Scenario Thread" To know Ed Is to be amazed. He's like George Costanza from "Seinfeld", A buffet of bad news. Thanks!
Edwin MacPhisto Posted December 26, 2004 Report Posted December 26, 2004 To the best of my knowledge, filing a false police report is only a misdemeanor, but yes, of course he can get arrested for it. Your buddy Ed's a douche. Merry Christmas!
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted December 26, 2004 Report Posted December 26, 2004 He's a idiot. The cops will take one look at the car and know you hit another car and no matter what you're at fault. The old couple likely had no insurance and thus left. So your idiot friend should have wrote it down before he got out, then confronted the old man. Bottom line, he shouldn't have crashed anyways. He had to have been driving close to the old couple anyways, and thus he's completely at fault. So tell him to man up against his father, if your 16+ years old and your dad still scares you...You don't deserve to live. Tell him to say "fuck off" to his dad and report the truth to the police and suffer the consequences of paying it off himself instead of risking a misdemaor which doesn't look too good to his insurance anyways. Save him the headache and the fact he needs you to ask strangers on a wrestling message board tells me he isn't emotionally or mentally capable of handling the rules and rights of driving.
The Metal Maniac Posted December 26, 2004 Report Posted December 26, 2004 So wait.... He rear-ended someone and smashed up the FRONT of his car...then said that his car was broadsided in a parking lot? Wouldn't broadsiding imply that his car was essentially T-Boned? Or am I on crack?
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted December 26, 2004 Report Posted December 26, 2004 Unless he's trying to argue/lie to the police that the guy hit him head on. Again you're friend is a idiot for not getting the plate number and an even bigger douche for being afraid of his dad.
Guest BrokenWings Posted December 26, 2004 Report Posted December 26, 2004 I'm suspecting "Ed" is you, more and more. Anyways, that's a pretty terrible lie, and I'd be fairly surprised if the cops bought it. Tell your "friend" to stop tailgating.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted December 26, 2004 Report Posted December 26, 2004 I completely agree. Ed=Chazz. Grow a set you daddy fearing pussy.
Lil' Bitch Posted December 26, 2004 Report Posted December 26, 2004 As The Shadow Behind You said, the whole fucked up thing about this is no matter how it happens according to the law if you rear-end somebody, you're at fault.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted December 26, 2004 Report Posted December 26, 2004 So this couple was driving so slow before the accident, but when they drove off he didn't have time to take down their plate number? I'd hate to see how your friend acts in the heat of the moment -- especially when his check-out lane at Wal-Mart gets five deep in customers...
Ace309 Posted December 27, 2004 Report Posted December 27, 2004 Don't tease me, bitch. When your thread title includes "Does Anybody Know...", there should be a completion for that question somewhere in the first few lines. Otherwise, I don't know what the hell you want, considering there's no way I'm reading through a giant paragraph written conversationally.
Chazz Posted December 27, 2004 Author Report Posted December 27, 2004 I completely agree. Ed=Chazz. Grow a set you daddy fearing pussy. I knew It was only a matter of time before some narrow minded moron(s) came up with that "revelation" In a lame and desperate attempt to get themselves over with others reading this thread. If you even remotely knew anything about me, which you obviously don't, you would know that I'm not Ed. Besides, If I'm boring, frustrating, or angering you with this topic of discussion so much, why bother wasting your valuable free time responding to It? And Shadow, I think It Is you with The "Daddy Fearing" Issues, seeing as how you keep harping on the subject, as well as the fact that you posted In this thread on the topic more than I have.
justsoyouknow Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 "Get over"? The wrestling forums are on the top of the page. No one "gets over" down in these parts.
Chazz Posted December 28, 2004 Author Report Posted December 28, 2004 What I mean by "Get Over" Is someone trying to pass themselves off as humorous or Intelligent at the expense of others, as Is seen In this and many other threads.
justsoyouknow Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 I note that you have an unusual habit of capitalizing every word that begins with the letter "I".
Guest BrokenWings Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 I note that you have an unusual habit of capitalizing every word that begins with the letter "I". Quit trying to bury Ed in an attempt to get over.
Chazz Posted December 28, 2004 Author Report Posted December 28, 2004 Thanks for proving my point, idiots.
