Right here.

Popick's Feedback (FIRST OF THE YEAR~!)

Good development of the tension within Cornette's ranks. I'm glad to see tag teams fleshed out so well, with title victories meaning something. I can sense the upcoming turn?

Having now seen where Cappa has gone too, I'm thrilled. Capping off the Inten5e angle, Cappa getting a bit more vicious. For a character that was happy and comical, this is the perfect foil to his lighter side. Good writing dawg.

Panther's segment caught me up on what's gone on with his character. Again, I like the fact that the title matters, but he hasn't lost sight on the past. Selling Christmas injuries was a cute way to progress the segment, and add a bit of apprehension to the scene with Ausstin.

Ausstin as a physical monster, taking alot of punishment, and Bryte having to out-think him, yeah that's the ticket. I like the crowd getting behind Ausstin, since his reaction was mixed initially. I knew Taylor would lead to the victory for Bryte, but the odds game on Ausstin is how it should go down. This loss builds well for the three-way feud built above.

GPX is freaking insane. They remind me of a comedy team fans like, but not that much.

I honestly like how Zack's been wrestling women. Of course, his loss to Crystal haunts him, and he can't get past that (hence why I think he's still going after women. It's almost as if there's a lack of confidence on his part...somewhere. I love the choice angle. It better be permanent. Match accomplished its purpose.

A fork? Owww. Brutal short squash really, but then again, Hell's Hitmen is MWC v2.0. Solid outing by them, and we can see where all this is going with Cornette & Co.

Tony and Dan with Zack? Stephen Joseph may just have something to say about this...soon. They lost the titles predictably, while Malibu wins, but will we see a double title match soon?

In the title match between Drek Stone and Crystal, I wish it would've ended with Drek standing tall, instead of trying to give a rub back to Crystal. She already got her rub by staying in so long with the injured knee, Stone imho should've been the last thing on our minds, because he did capitalize in an instant. Focus on the champ.

Match.Of.The.Year. Kudos to Ragdoll and Axel.

Blame that on Drek being selfless, because he wrote it.

By the way, kudos to Drek for writing the match. Good match. Haven't read anything else yet, but I will.

Where the hell is Climax?

NOTE: I almost said 'Where the hell is Clitoris'

http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=65114

On the graphics, the PPV logo and the one for Axel/Rags was working when I checked them a second ago, just incase you want to edit those in, SJ. And sorry about the World Title graphic. I made it last week before I left town and when Sly got taken out, I wasn't able to change it.

I'll be back with actual feedback later...maybe.

Since I rather leave some form of feedback (even if it's small) than none at all, let me just say I've only managed to skim the show, but I enjoyed what I've read.

NY did a great job considering the circumstances, but that isn't a shock since he's one of the best writers we have. GPX delivered another one of their trademark promos. Heck, all the promos were well done.

I also gotta give props to Eskimo for writing TLD-BT. He did a great job making both teams look good while giving TLD their big win.

I liked the cold opening at the beginning. It was a break from the usual open then cut to graphics we do. It felt old school, but I can't remember ever seeing that, lol. But I liked it.

Three...wait...yeah, Three things to start:

1. Where's my writing props? I wrote some of that match-a-roo.

2. I want Match Graphics! *cries*

3. Feedback for Drek/Crystal!: There's a reason why Drek and Crystal are two of my favorite characters and writers in this fed, but I have been quite vocal on that for some time now. I'm SO fuckin' happy that Drek is still champ (no offense, Crystal)...that character, with the style of writing from Drekkers, was MADE to be champ. I'm bummed that I only got the chance to have one match against him. Drek v. Ragdoll has so many possibilities, it's sickening.

And this is where I say Good-bye.

It has certainly been fun. A fuckin blast from start to finish. There was never a time while I was here that I thought, "This is too stressful...i'm done." The characters, like Zack, Axel, Drek, Crystal, Rando, Sly, Hoff, Cal, AS...they've changed so much since I started here, and ONLY for the better. All the champs while I've been here have earned it, and delivered week after week, PPV after PPV. It was always just fun to read the new Zack or Cal promo, read the Crystal match, read the Drek segments. It's always just been...fun.

But, the film school I'm going to is notorious for making their students "have no life," which is exactly what my admissions officer said. It's going to be fun, though.

So, i'd like to thank a few people...in no order, of course.

1. Rando: You gave me the X Title, and you helped launch the career of K-Money/Ragdoll. For that, I thank you.

2. AngleSault: I was his "n00b pick," and when the person that the fed is named after picks you, he MUST have faith that you can do well. Thank you for giving me that.

3. Zack: Always helpful to the 10th degree, always giving me honest feedbackery, and probably the best writer this fed has ever seen. Not only was he a good friend in the fed, he was a great one outside of it. Thank you for all of your help.

4. Mad Matt: I did everything I could for that boy...I treated him like my own mother. Thank you for taking the X Title off my hands and making people miss seeing Ragdoll hold it. :D Kidding

5. Drek: Although you and I just recently started talking, I know already that you're a good kid. Keep it the FUCK up!

6. Axel: Why this kid doesn't have the title, I'll never know. Seriously, Adam is one of the best writers in this fed, and the only reason WHY Axel/Rags worked was because of HIS ideas, and the only reason WHY Axel/Rags at Climax was good was because of his writing. Adam, you're a good man. A fuckin awesome guy, and probably the easiest person to talk to in the world. You're fuckin Rad.

Anyone I've missed...sorry.

Later!~ VOTE RAGDOLL/K-MONEY FOR FALL OF HAIM!!

My feed:

Firstly, I didnt get a credit :(

Very good opening promo. Tony does a great job capturing Cornette, and the NNMX-Saints rivalry should be very interesting.

I like Cappa's promo, very intense, no pun intended. I can sympathise with his lack of title shots :) so hopefully he'll get some more matches in the New Year.

The Panther-Brock segment worked well to lead into the Brock-Bryte match, which was a good big man-little man match. I liked Bryte going after both leg and head of Brock and it would have been interesting to have him going over clean, but obviously this feud is going to continue, which is a good thing.

GPX promo was fun, and good to have them on the card.

I have to admit to not being a big fan of male-female matches, although they're generally well-written here and Zack-Alix was no exception. I really liked the ending, was surprising but logical and fitted Zack's character perfectly.

I marked out for Abby's appearance, and HH-NNMX was an excellent brawl, with the right team going over given the match type. The Hitmen have got to be in line for a tag title run soon...

Docs-Black T was designed to push the Docs up to the next level as No 2 babyface team behind GPX. Time will tell if they succeed. The outcome of this match might have been obvious, but I enjoyed writing it anyway.

Drek-Crystal was very very good, MOTN IMO. Any match with a ringpost figure 4 gets extra points from me. Excellent finish too.

The build to the main event was incredibly dramatic, really got the importance of the match over. The match itself followed suit and wasn't so much a wrestling match as a really sick two man war. I think realistically both guys would have been dead half way through, but all the big moves were excellent and the finish was very nice.

Overall an extremely good show that could have been great with another couple of big matches.

Really interesting segment to start off the show with the New New Midnight Express and The Saints. The fact that Cornette's betrayal of the NNMX immediately opened up Climax actually gave it a real sense of importance. Cornette talking about NNMX as if they've already lost, while praising The Saints in the same breath, was a great way to show where his true loyalties lie, and gave the entire Cornette stable a real sense of dissention. Well-written stuff to begin the night.

Cute opening Christmas poem. But where was the mention of Drek Stone?! HOFF WASN'T EVEN WRESTLING ON THA CARD!!! Hellloooooooo. Heavyweight Champion over here!!!!!

Great stuff with The Mad Cappa. I've REALLY been digging Cappa's heel turn since it started. With this segment, I especially liked Cappa bringing up all the people who joined the OAOAST after him, yet have still gotten a title shot before him. The most effective heel characters always believe in the angry stuff they scream in the ring, and Cappa truly believes he's justified in acting the way he has. The antagonistic nature he's had with Watts in recent weeks has led to some great verbal sparring between the two. I'm glad to see Cappa writing for the OAOAST again -- and his new heelish personality has led such a fresh dimension to his character.

Nice promo from Panther. The line about the "popular Hughey Vutton purse from Zimbabwe" was cute. Either way, I loved the intensity Panther showed here. The championship belt still means a lot to him, but even that can't stand in the way of finally getting his revenge on Chris Bryte. His refusal to stand down to an irate Brock Ausstin was great to see as well. Might I add that I do like the idea of the Panther/Brock feud continuing? Those two always seem to have some very good chemistry in the ring.

Brock Ausstin vs. Chris Bryte - Very good match to kick off the action at Climax. I liked Uncle Kev not coming out with either guy at the beginning of the match. It seemed naturally assumed that he would stay loyal to Bryte, but his absence added a mysterious feel to the contest. The story of this match was simple, yet still effective. Brock as the big muscleman overpowering Bryte, but Chris trying to use his intelligence and technical skills to take out Ausstin. The end of the match was actually rather interesting as well. The idea that Taylor's guys seemed to know to interfere on behalf of Bryte - but Taylor seemingly didn't even know what was going on - adds an enthralling aspect to the Bryte/Taylor/Brock storyline in the next few weeks.

Enjoyable segment between GPX and Alix. I liked the self-doubt Alix started to show when it came to her match with Zack later in the show and, as always, I enjoyed the crazy interaction between Scotty and Johnny. We have Alix expressing serious worries about her own abilities -- and GPX subtly trying to come onto her with lame pickup lines. Fun promo to set up the match later on in the night.

Zack Malibu vs. Alix - Excellent match between these two. The entire contest was just FUN to read through, with the action seemingly breezing by. I loved the portrayal of Alix as the scrappy fighter, and I couldn't help but start rooting for her near the end as she did her best to take on both Zack and Candie. I also liked the cameo by Josh during the match, showing a real continuity of what has happened in recent weeks. The ending actually confused me at first, but in hindsight, it does make sense in further establishing Zack's ego. The wins and losses don't matter to him - as long as he shows he CAN be dominant against a particular person, he doesn't care how the match ends. Again, really great stuff here.

The New New Midnight Express vs. Hell's Hitmen - Good stuff. To me, this match seemed to be much more about angle progression than the action itself, which worked successfully in this case. The continued dissention between the NNMX and Hell's Hitmen worked nicely, as was Cornette ditching the NNMX for a second time in the night. The brawl itself was great. Good idea to make Abby the Special Guest Referee - all things considering, there's probably no other man that would know more about bleeding in a wrestling ring - and I really enjoyed the match's hard-hitting nature. The end with the fork was particularly sick and a good conclusion to the First Blood stipulation. The contest really did help establish Hell's Hitmen as a team of SERIOUS badasses and, like Eskimo said, they should be getting a Tag Title shot soon.

Black T vs. The Love Doctors - Fine, fine contest. There seemed to be an above-average amount of nearfalls in this one, which gave it a real sense of urgency concerning the HIYAH Tag Titles. Despite all the boasting Black T had done in recent weeks, they still knew they should try to finish The Doctors as quickly as possible, or they would lose the belts. The action in this one came fast and furious, and I just really dug the complete back-and-forth feeling of the match. If I'm being completely honest, I have to admit I did feel a little underwhelmed with the revealing of "Strong Medicine" at the end. For weeks, the Doctors have broken out visually impressive moves (I mean, a Shooting Star Elbowdrop is just CRAZY!), but the finishing move they've pretty much been hyping for weeks turns out to just be a Hart Attack. It wasn't necessarily bad, but it still felt a little odd. And even though I had a feeling the Docs were going over, it was handled very nicely. And, of course, getting a win over Black T - the most dominant tag team in OAOAST history - will really do a lot to help establish The Love Doctors as deserving champions. I'm actually very interested to see where this storyline goes.

Axel vs. Ragdoll - Ahhh, here we go. First off, MAJOR props to Ragdoll. I've only started talking to him in recent weeks, but Ken genuinely seems like a very cool guy. And like I've told him several times already, it's really a shame to see him go. I've enjoyed the incredibly intense stuff Ragdoll has brought out lately, and it's easy to see Ken puts an incredible amount of effort into every OAOAST segment he writes. Again man, it really sucks to see you go. But just don't be a stranger. Make sure to visit once in a while.

Now, to comment on the match itself:

Amazing. If it hadn't taken place so late in December, it would be a Match of the Year Candidate for sure. Like I told Adam, I LOVED all the prematch stuff going on at the beginning. The hype-up video was intense, Axel and Ragdoll separately walking through the hall was powerful, and just the descriptions of the entrances itself - "Down With the Sickness" in particular - made the match truly feel EPIC. The action here was SICK and INSANE -- exactly what it should have been. Ragdoll and Axel carving their initials into each other's chests with broken glass shards, Ragdoll flying off the top rope onto a pile of glass shards and thumbtacks, Axel walking barefoot through the glass, Axel Slam through a GLASS TABLE piled with thumbtacks -- all of it was incredible. Ragdoll's passionate screams for Axel to give up just made the match all that more personal as well. The match did suffer from a few minor problems - you might have stuffed a little TOO much gruesome action into it, having it somewhat border on the line of being unrealistic...Axel and Ragdoll should have been clinically dead after some of their spots - but the good here FAR, FAR, outweighed the bad.

I personally think this match MADE Axel into a superstar. He looked like an amazingly tough badass here for surviving everything Ragdoll threw at him. This match was also the perfect way for Ragdoll to go out. In a blaze of glass, tacks, and blood, Ragdoll established his legacy here. And furthermore, this contest showed just what Adam and Ken are capable of doing when the storyline really does come from the heart.

Well, there we go. It goes without saying that any more feedback on Drek/Crystal would be highly appreciated. Happy New Year, folks. With things going on the path they are now, AnglePalooza should be a DAMNED good PPV.

Great show everyone, I realise this is late, but you know what they say.

Cappa's promo got his character over very well, and is a refreshing change from Cappa's face gimmick. I like how Watts is pissing him off, I can't wait until it becomes too much and Cappa goes psycho.

Nice little Panther segment, comedy, plus another Panther/Brock confrontation. Moves the storyline along nicely. Led into a great opener between Bryte and Ausstin, with Ausstin getting face pops, which really emphasises how much people hate Bryte. Nice finish, perhaps leading to a return match somewhere down the line.

Funny segment with GPX, if not a tad overboard at times, but really funny. It wouldn't have been right if Alix hadn't of shown a little worry.

ice match with Alix, seeming like she was going to fluke it a few times, only to have Zack just DESTROY her. Nice to see Zack is still as insane as he was months ago after losing the title.

Chaotic match between Hells Hitmen and NNMX. Nice action, and I marked for Abby's appearance.

I'm glad the Love Docotrs won the HI-YAH tag titles, it gives the tag division the ability to have to big title feuds and get more teams involved, which is always good. Nice match.

Drek-Crystal was awesome. I loved Drek's pleas to stop the match, the knee psychology, which was very well written. Drek did a great job under the circumstances, having to write the match just a couple days before the PPV, and writing a great match to boot.

Now, as for the Main Event, all your feedback is greatly appreciated, as I wanted this to be Ken's big sendoff. If you liked it, cool, thank you. If you didn't, congradulations, you have an opinion, so voice it.

As for Ken, I'd like to send him a big thank you. I meant what I said in the shoot for real, you've been a great friend in this fed, and in general. Best of luck in the future, and feel free to drop in at any time. You wrote some great shit, and I enjoyed working with you.

Great way to finish off '04 guys.
