The Czech Republic Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 Hey guys, take it to Graphics & Testing Grounds
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 I'm 26. How is this possible. And I don't care about the GTG folder, Czech. You fail again.
Guest Failed Mascot Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 Get drunk and buy a Whattaburger. You don't turn 26 everyday.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 I just watched Garden State with my female housemate. It was pretty good, though a little touchy-feely at the end. Of course, because of that movie, I'm listening to the Shins right now. And I'm drunk.
Myxamatosis Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 Of course, because of that movie, I'm listening to the Shins right now. And I'm drunk. Building Nothing. Laying Bricks.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 I remember getting Oh, Inverted World back when it came out. For a couple of years, I was pretty sure that one line in "New Slang" was "like the king of the assholes." It wasn't until a year ago that I bothered checking the lyrics, which shown I'd been wrong. I don't care, though. Still a great song. Didn't change my life like it did for Natalie Portman's character, but man, whatta song.
The Czech Republic Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 How's the movie? Ihave the soundtrack for it, and I like it.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 I said it was pretty good a few posts ago.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 Now I'm listening to Big Star, and "The Ballad of El Goodo" just came on. Oh man.
The Czech Republic Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 Well excuse me for not critically reading "Inca's Birthday Party."
Art Sandusky Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 The Czech Republic sure is posting a lot for someone who's dead.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 I miss my AIM talks with subliminal_animal.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 "Speaking of which," I should add.
The Czech Republic Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 The Czech Republic sure is posting a lot for someone who's dead. Well, I guess at least you were lucid enough at the time to make that observation, I should give you points for that much.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 "The Ballad of El Goodo" Evan Dando?
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 "The Ballad of El Goodo" was written by Alex Chilton and performed by Big Star on their 1972 debut, #1 Record.

Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 I listened to Baby I'm Bored once. It was okay. Check out Big Star, though. I think you might like them.

Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 I'm familiar with the Lemonheads. Back when I was in high school and getting into "indie" music, I hated them simply for Evan Dando's pompous assholery in interviews. I hated the Smiths for the longest time, too, for Morrissey's schtick. I know better, now.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 Evan Dando was the most pretentious rock star of the 90's. But he made harmless and lovely drugged out pop music. Until he crashed and burned. He's yet to recover.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 He fucked Julianna Hatfield; back in the early 90s, she was every indie nerd's dream woman. Then she started sharing crack pipes with Dando. Poor girl wasn't the same after that.

Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 You caught my post before I took out the italics. It was a weird emphasis.

Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 Hey, can we go to Whattaburger?
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 Why do I get the impression we are going to hear about AOO and Inc's internet union on America's Most Wanted?
Guest Failed Mascot Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 They won't make America's Most Wanted...they'd be more likely to make Unsolved Mysteries.
