What keeps you tuning in?

Raw:

To make fun of.

Some wrestlers I actually like are on Raw.

The rare good match.

On SD, when I do watch it's boredom or habit. Last night was so damn boring, uneventful, unentertaining, and pointless that I couldn't bear to give a damn anymore and switched it off. It's unwatchable.

And you missed a good main event because of it.

The fact that I usually watch Raw & Smackdown taped, so I have the luxury of the fast forward button. If I had to watch them live and I couldn't skip past stuff I didn't enjoy, I dunno if I could do it.

I've been watching wrestling since about 1985, and there's been a lot of crap in that time.

After sitting thru stuff like the Black Scorpion, 1989-1990 AWA, 1990-1991 WCW, 1992-1994 WWF, and the death throes of ECW, it's going to take more than Steffypants's HHH-centric booking to get me to stop watching.

Batista, cause the man is styling more than Ric Flair could have ever dreamed. Dave is a role model to all people who want to some day walk out to "Sharp Dressed Man".

Plus his facial expressions crack me up. He loses the pose down and he'd be the ultimate reason to watch.

Other than the Dave hilarity, mostly just to mock and cross my fingers that maybe I'll see a match that doesn't end in a bs finish. Which I haven't seen in quite some time.

Raw is a pretty good show most of the time IMO. I keep SD on my DVR untill whenever I feel like watching it. Sometimes it can be a chore, but there are still a few good wrestlers on the show to keep me entertained.

I still enjoy the WWE as a piece of fluff where I can switch off my brain and pass a couple of hours. I Haven't bought a DVD, watched any one show more than two weeks running or seen a PPV other than Mania for well over a year but I still stick up for wrestling when other people bash it. I kind of say what Loss said earlier. A few years back Raw and Smackdown were two of the funniest shows on TV with Rock, Austin, Foley, E&C, Regal etc all playing off each other with genuine wit. Although that has largely evaporated there's still some funny moments the odd week.

Like others here, it's more habit than anything else. However, it hasn't been "must-see" for me in a long time. I used to tape the episodes whenever I wasn't home to watch them. Now I don't even bother, because they recap everything the week after anyway, and nothing's been riveting enough for me to want to pay attention. The catalyst for this may well be the unsatisfying überpushes of both Orton and Bradshaw, since neither of them entertain me in any capacity.

This may be an offshoot of the growing unwatchability of television in general. Or maybe I just have other things to hold my attention. In any event, unless the next wresling renaissance happens, I'll probably stop watching again like I did from '92-'96.

For a period in 2001-2003 I felt like I was watching just out of habit. I'd say I turned the corner and started really enjoying it again in the summer of 2003. These days I'm pretty excited about Raw each week, but still can't get very interested in Smackdown. Raw's been especially entertaining since January of last year, I think.

Oh because deep down I just enjoy a good wrestling match, which surprisingly (and in my own personal opinion) I see every now and then, patrially because of habit...

...and because of BATISTA!

I'm the guy who cheered for Diesel in 94

for Sid in 1996

for HHH in 2000

I'm your worst nightmare...
