MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2005 Im all for Utah winning, and it would be interesting to see them get the shutout, but this game is boring the hell out of me. 28-0 now.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2005 Everyone knew Utah was going to win this game and guess what? Utah is embarassing Pitt.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2005 Young has officially proven that he is a great quarterback, This implies they have a passing game.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2005 Right now, we are seeing quarterbacks break the traditional quarterback roles, and teams are beginning to embrace it. While the numbers may not be good, they have produced wins. That may be true but this will likely NOT translate into a successful switch to the pros. Look at those unconventional QBs in the recent years who has tried to go in the pros based on their legs (Woody Dantzler, Antwaan Randle-El, Eric Crouch, etc)... they either had to switch to another position or quit football altogether. Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted January 2, 2005 Where's that Scanners pic when you need it? Why b/c you're wrong? B/c your team got beat? Everything I just said was true. I was responding to everyone saying they were one dimensional b/c apparently they got it done being just one dimensional. No, because you're being a fucking asshole. I hope the mods let everyone have free reign on you if Oklahoma loses. What I was talking about didn't have shit to do with Texas/Michigan. I was pointing out that he had no clue about Vince Young and you come charging into the thread with more of your gloating and trying to rub everyone's face in the fact that you happened to be right once. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2005 I think Vince Young could be an NFL running back. He's certainly fast enough and has the ability make people miss. Cedric Benson was pretty much a non-factor tonight though. Poor guy.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2005 Damaramu's seriously a defective college fan. You root for your in-conference rivals to win a game for the conference, then go back to hating them. I rooted for Georgia, LSU, Alabama, and even FLORIDA during their games, but you go back to despising them once it's over, man. It's especially fucked up to see an OU guy defending Texas so much, when a) they're your biggest rival, and b) no one's attacking Texas.

You guys were saying Texas was one-dimensional like it was bad. But obviously it wasn't that bad b/c they only lost 1 game this year! They got the job done this season having a one dimensional attack. And everyone jumps on me and tells me I'm wrong all season long. They tell me my conference sucks and my team isn't as good as they're ranked and I just generally get shit on for my football allegiances b/c this board is anti-Big XII. Then I finally get proven right after all the shit I've gotten from you all season and you can't handle it.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2005 Okay, type out "because" please. Show me who on this board has been anti-Big XII beyond the realm of game-time jostling (ie. me during the Cotton Bowl) and I'll gladly support your quest.

It's especially fucked up to see an OU guy defending Texas so much, when a) they're your biggest rival, and b) no one's attacking Texas. They have to make the conference look good. Because when the conference looks good, my team looks good. So it's not that I'm paticuarly rooting for Texas b/c I like Texas. I'm rooting for Texas b/c if they do good OU looks that much better for shutting them out. I don't really see how my logic on that is wrong. You want your team to look good right? I mean say Tennessee went undefeated in the SEC and blew all of their opponents out. Then the SEC went undefeated in the bowl season and blew all of their opponents out. Doesn't that make your team look better? Wouldn't you like that Kotz?
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2005 Certainly, but it still makes me vomit at the idea of rooting for Florida. That's true fandom, man.

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted January 2, 2005 What was the point of even telling him to stop talking about Oklahoma when he's just doing the same thing with Texas now? Seriously, I'm not flamebaiting but it's the same shit with different wrappings.

Show me who on this board has been anti-Big XII beyond the realm of game-time jostling (ie. me during the Cotton Bowl) and I'll gladly support your quest. Everyone has told me that the Big XII is down and the 2 and 3 teams from the SEC and Pac 10 could beat the 1 and 2 teams from the Big XII. And of course we know how everyone feels about OU. So there you go. It's happened all season. You wanted to know.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2005 Certainly, but it still makes me vomit at the idea of rooting for Florida. That's true fandom, man. I don't like having to root for Texas but if using Texas to further my own means gets me where I need to be then so be it. Texas losing one game makes OU look great b/c OU usually embarasses them. You just said you were rooting for the SEC teams anyways. My take on it is when you come to bowl season you want your conference to win. But during conference play you want just your team to win. Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted January 2, 2005 No, they're still down. They just had teams show up at the right time to win a game. You just need to get over this complex you have with anything people say on this board.
Bored 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2005 The bowl season is not the end all, be all on how good a conference was for the year. That's the only thing I'm going to say on this subject because I seriously don't give a fuck about which conference is better than the other. Everyone please ignore Dama and Dama ignore everyone else. The college football threads are going to get as bad a rep as the Raw threads got on this site if this shit keeps up. Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted January 2, 2005 Will you idiots stop it? Kotz and all the anti-dama's just shut up and stop egging him on. Dama, You are a hyprocite for even following and cheering for Texas today. Don't even start with the "it's for the good of the conference!". No it's not. You seem to think everyone's on anti-Oklahoma, anti-big12 stance here when they aren't.
