Go Falcons force some OT, I DON'T want Alexander to get more yards, just because of these fucks, but I want three 8-8 teams in the playoffs.

"The seahawks have won the NFC West. What a finish. And bittersweet when you consider the story of Shaun Alexander" WHO GIVES A FUCK? This isn't like it's an nfl record, it's just a season rushing title.

And now they're going to review the play, but I can't imagine they'll change the decision.

The play stands. Seahawks win the NFC West with a 9-7 record, host St. Louis next Saturday.

That truely was some of the most annoying announcing i've ever heard, and I've listened to a lot of Tim McCarver, and I had to put up with 2003 Yankees/Red Sox flashbacks during this years NLDS.

I feel bad for Jacksonville and Baltimore having to watch the 4th string Colts do nothing.

Why? Jacksonville laying an egg, at home, against Houston last week and Baltimore blowing a huge lead, at home, in the 4th quarter against the Bengals a few weeks ago has more to do with their missing the playoffs than the Colts' 4th stringers. They've got nobody to blame but themselves.

This will now be known as "The Seattle Screwjob".

I demand an asterix* put next to Martin's yards!

Okay, what the hell... I checked the score of the Kansas City game cuz I have Trent Green as my quarterback in Fantasy Football. With like 6 minutes left it was 24-3. After posting a few things on the board I look back and the score is 24-17. I know this game means nothing, but damn.

Well San Diego is operating with a 2nd-3rd string offense.

KC scored a td, Chargers fumbled the kickoff return, kc scored again.

Ahhh, I see, that doesn't show up on the score. Makes a lot more sense now.

Where's the excitement for the final game of the regular season? Dallas and the Giants WOO WOO!!! I'm rooting for Dallas, just to improve the draft pick San Diego gets.

Okay, stupid question here, but it's something I've always wondered and it's not worth starting a new topic over, but why, on a missed field goal, is the ball spotted at where the ball is plated by the placeholder? Why not just go from the line of scrimmage?

They used to. They changed the rule to encourage teams to go for it more rather than kick the field goal from out around the 35, because there's more of a punishment for missing.

I'm happy about Carolina being knocked out of the playoffs today because I thought that was the team that could go into Philly and win.

New England and Pittsburgh probably had to play their starters more today considering the fact that their games are going to be much more of a dogfight in the divisionals than the Eagles will have(2 dome teams having to play outside and one that is a completely schizophrenic team.) The Eagles probably wanted to make sure no more starters got hurt considering what happened last year when their defense was basically decimated.

What does it say about the NFC when the two top seeds limp into the playoffs with two straight losses?

And no, the "they were just resting their starters" argument won't work here (since the two AFC teams didn't have any problems)

Oh and has anyone gotten a team's "Complete History Of" DVD? I got the Eagles one today and I'm wondering how good these DVDs are.

I got the Cowboys' disc. The "history of" feature itself is ok, though a little rushed at just over 60 minutes. Don't know how long the Eagles' feature is, but they glossed over a lot of the Cowboys' history.

The real treat on the Cowboys' set is the complete 1992 NFC Championship Game where the kicked the shit out of the Niners for the first time. I'd assume the Eagles would have a similar feature, though I have no idea what game they'd feature since there are so few to choose from :P

Says about 268 minutes the whole set is. I think they had features on the 1948, 1949, and 1960 championship teams, and specials on the 1978 Miracle at the Meadowlands, 1980 NFC Championship against Dallas, and the Fog Bowl of 1988.

Oh lord I just saw Richie Kotite on it. God help me now. I hope they have Kotite's 2-point conversion chart ink running in the rain against Dallas just so I can show my grandchildren in about 50 years how much of an idiot Kotite was.

Pittsburgh didn't really play any of their significant starters, so that one's a little bit of a stretch. Pittsburgh beat Buffalo with their JV team. So much for Buffalo's dominance, Banky and Tim.
