Denver over Indi - INDI HAS NO DEFENSE. They didn't rest any of their starters on defense today in that loss. They suck that bad.

But Indy DID rest their offensive starters. So regardless of if their defense sucks, with Peyton and Co. they can surely keep up with Plummer.

Oh and for the people that keep saying it's hard to beat a time three times in one year, NFL Prime Time had the stat: Teams are 10-5 when facing an opponent they have beaten twice already that season going into the third game. Looks good for the Rams, Pack, and my NFC wild card weekend predictions.

AFC

Jets vs Chargers: San Diego with the victory. Jets are not their usual self lately, and the Chargers seem unstoppable right about now. Besides a horrible road record for New York doesn't add up well against Brees and the Chargers.

Broncos vs Indy: Denver is going to be the big upset of the week here. Indy is unstoppable in the dome, but Indy is also against one of the better defence in the league. Maybe it might be luck, since Denver embarresed the Colts, who knows, this Colts team, might be running on its last legs.

NFC

St. Louis vs. Seattle: It's not going to be easy, but with a healthy core of receivers at disposal, and Shawn Alexander in the backfield, will make St. Louis defence look like some highschool team, if Seattle can doesn't turn the ball over.

Minnesota vs Green Bay: Like most dome teams, Minnesota will just be another team to lose at Lambeau field. Minnesota decline in the second half of the season, doesn't help against one of the better teams in the second season, especially against a red-hot Brett Farve.

Honestly, I think Denver could surprise. Not only do they have a very solid passing attack with Plummer to Lelie, Smith, and Putzier but people seem to be forgetting that they have a power back in Droughns and a home run threat in Tatum Bell. With the speed that Tatum has, the Broncos can easily run on the Colts and wear down the clock keeping Manning off the field. Their defense can also be solid when it wants to be.

My prediction: Broncos 27, Colts 24

Other predictions...

Chargers 21, Jets 13

Rams 35, Seahawks 17

Packers 27, Vikings 24

My picks:

AFC:

- Indy destroys the Broncos (not as bad as last year's blowout, but still an easy win). Plummer throws 3 picks.

- San Diego beats the Jets. Didn't the Jets finish the season 4-5 in their last 9 games? Nice momentum.

NFC:

- Green Bay beats the Vikings. Tice is lucky to still be employed.

- Seattle beats the Rams. Martz either does something that's incredibly stupid or just abandons what's working and throws 90% of the time.

Also, I want to reiterate my "Pittsburgh loses their first playoff game" prediction. I don't care who it's against, but they're losing. Right it down.

- Colts are appearing in their 17th Playoff Game. (15 additional as Baltimore, as well)

- Broncos are appearing in their 30th Playoff Game.

- Vikings are appearing in their 41st Playoff Game.

- Packers are appearing in their 38th Playoff Game.

- Rams are appearing in their 42nd Playoff Game (counting stints as Cleveland and L.A.).

- Seahawks are appearing in their 10th Playoff Game.

- Eagles: will play 30th

- Falcons: will play 13th

- Patriots: will play 24th

- Steelers: will play 41st

Uh...just felt like posting this. Most experienced and least experienced franchises meet in Wild Card Round.

I really dont see how you can say that after Pittsburgh beat a pretty decent Buffalo team handily (score really wasnt an indicator) with second and third stringers, I gotta believe this is mostly wishful thinking on your part. I will say that I think a healthy New England team matches up best with them but I dont think they have the horses to beat Pittsburgh this year.

smh, I've been saying it for weeks ... I just really don't believe the hype with "Big Ben" and the Steelers. Yes, they beat the Bills pretty handily, but every other QB that they'll face in the playoffs > Drew Bledsoe.

I'll be the first to say "I was wrong" if/when they don't lose that game. Well, technically, someone posting a "ha, ha, you were wrong!" post will be the first to say it ... but I won't deny it.

Thats the thing though its not just Big Ben, they have a dynamic running game and a killer defense as well. Say San Diego and Indy win this week which I expect that they will. The Chargers would then go to Pittsburgh and while they will likely keep it close and slow down the running game theres too many holes in that secondary and Roethlisberger will take advantage of them. Plus, Brees and Tomlinson will be neutralized by the Pittsburgh defense cause while they can score the Chargers are a couple players short of taking advantage of the Steelers weakenesses. I've seen the Steelers about 5-6 times this year don't believe the hype? No. Believe it.

Imagine putting Bledsoe, McNabb, Warner, Hasselback, Farve in an offense that Pittsburgh have...imagine the scoring.

Thats how much depth that team have.

I hope the Steelers thinks the same way you do. Because if they forget about Gates, it'll kill them.

Gates tailed off at the end of the year and he wont do jack against Pittsburgh

The only way the Jets win is if they, you know, try to pass the ball further than 5 yards from scrimmage. Curtis Martin will carry the load, so it's all on Pennington to make some good decisions.

The Chargers are not the type of team Pennington sucks ass against, but they are hot. Like the Jets though, they didn't beat any teams that the Jets wouldn't beat. The Jets did beat them in Week 2 however, and I know things change, but the Jet defense wasn't as good then (not counting yesterday's 4 play 5,000 yard game against the Rams, the Jet defense has been pretty good, and didn't turn up till probably Week 3 or 4).

I think it will be a close game. They held Tomlinson in check the last time around, and with Abraham returning, Brees will have to scramble a bit with Ellis on the other side. Vilma is playing great, but the secondary will have to step it up. I'm not making a prediction, but Pennington needs to have a good game, and needs to be allowed to create.

That killer running attack that Pitts has is injured. Bettis has a twisted ankle and Staley still has hamstring woes.

I think Pitts' injuries are going to catch up to them. The Pats are getting healthy now and if the two teams meet the Pats will have about 5 or 6 key players in this game that they didn't have in the previous one. The Steelers injuries though appear to slowly be catching up with them. Burress' hamstring, Bell's groin, Bettis and Staley's problems as I previously mentioned, and Ben's ribs.

Until they do something without Chuck Knoll at the helm then I still see them as a minor bump in the road and nothing more.

Just passing along some news, the divisional playoff times have now been set. Pittsburgh will host the early game on Saturday and Atlanta will host the 8 pm game. Philadelphia will host the 1 pm game on Sunday and New England will play the late game that day.

I doubt they're going to give Pitts a non-primetime slot. That's just retarded.

Steelers fans are the greatest. The smuggest and most trash talking fans of a team that has won nothing in over 25 years. They only come around when the Steelers are winning too. Otherwise they hide in their apartments crying into their terrible towels remembering days gone by.

If I had Kordell Stewart as my quarterback for a good part of the 1990s, I'd be crying too.
