I still do not get this Lito Sheppard love that the national media gives. He is a very good player who still has moments where his youth shows and he gets burnt. In time could he be an AllPro? Sure, why not. But not yet. Especially with Jim Johnson calling less blitzes, the safeties (arguably the best pair in the league) have been helping out more than ever, unlike in the past where Eagles corners were always on islands.

I thought that Sheldon played as good as if not better than Lito as well, but he didn't have that signature play (ie Lito's Pick Six against Carolina) to get the recognition. Regardless, they both played a lot better than I expected.

I think Dunta Robinson got robbed out of Defensive ROY. He was the most consistent rookie defender and, given that Aaron Glenn played opposite of him, a target all year long. He handled it wonderfully.

Champ does not deserve his spot. He is Top 10 and will play very well aginast thr small WR's of Indy, but he was good enough in enough games this year.

I think Lito deserves all the pub he gets. He had massive shoes to fill with both Vincent and Taylor leaving, and stepped up huge.

Willie Anderson, 1st Bengal since '96 to earn All-Pro, hell yeah!

The rookie defensive crop this year was pretty good. I thought Madieu Williams had a good shot at it, but that was probably me being homerish.

Vilma and Robinson both had great seasons, I'd give the slight nod to Vilma though.

The 2004 Green Bay Packers: We may have fizzled when given a chance to prove ourselves, had a better road than home record which is saying quite a bit about Lambeau (not to mention dropping all 4 of their home losses to non-playoff teams), and have the most mediocre defense in football, but DAMN IT WE HAVE THE BEST ALL-PRO FULLBACK IN THE LEAGUE.
