I've seen a zillion of these "haunted" items on ebay, and none of them have ever sounded particularly convincing. I mean, what the hell is this thing supposed to be anyway? It looks like a pocket pussy that someone overused and then flushed down the toilet, or like the world's most amateurishly-made candle.

It looks like some ceramic statue that fell over and broke and he's trying to sell the bottom half.

My mom has one, really stupid looking at that.

Yeah, but Ash is stupid enough to do just that.

 

And then possibly go back and rescue the unsuspecting family he sold it to. But that's a big maybe.

 

I loved in Campbell's autobiography how he explained that Evil Dead 2 isn't a remake, but a sequel. "Ash really is stupid enough to go back to the same cabin in the woods." Beautiful.
