How the hell do you PM?

To use the private message feature, there are two ways.

 

1. Click on "My Controls" at the top right side of your screen. On the next page, click "Compose New Message" on the left. The next screen will be the PM screen. Type in the recipient's name (their board handle, just so we're extra-clear), a subject, and your message, and click "Send Message." You're off.

 

2. When reading the board's posts, if you come across a post by someone you'd like to PM, click the little "PM" icon under their post. That'll take you to the sending screen, with the recipient's name already filled in.

3. Click on the name of the poster you wish to send a message to (you may wish to do this if you see the name in the list of moderators, users online, etc.). You'll get his/her profile. Click on "Private Message". That'll also take you to the sending screen, with the recipient's name already in.
