Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2005 Dama, they got physically dominated, in their home stadium, in their third straight NFC title game. That is a choke job. Yeah but they pretty much did it without their team leader and QB. McNabb was the offense at that point and they didn't have him there. The game might've been different had he not gotten injured. Are you kidding? McNabb left the game when the verdict was in, maybe not in terms of time left but it was clear from the way they were playing that the game was over. He was getting smoked before he left, and he probably knew the end result which is why he didn't fight the injury and stay in the game.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2005 I'm just saying that if he had never gotten injured he probably would've made a big play or two and kept the Eagles in the game.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2005 What, prior to the injury, gives you the idea that he "probably" would have made a big play? His receivers were giving him nothing, Westbrook was not there as an outlet, and the Carolina D had him clamped down.

Because for some reason people go nuts how when things aren't going his way Michael Vick can make a huge play to blow the game wide open when Donovan McNabb can do the same thing just as well. I think that McNabb could've gotten loose and done some damage with his legs.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2005 Vikings at Eagles (1:00 PM, Fox): The Vikings are coming off a solid and important win in Green Bay. They were 2-20 in their previous 22 outdoor games, but won a big one at frigid Lambeau Field. They’ll be facing similar weather conditions again this weekend. The Eagles are obviously without WR Terrell Owens, and their offense hasn’t played a complete, meaningful game of football in six weeks. Hanging over their heads is the spectre of having lost the last three NFC Championship games. Their depleted receiving corps gets a boost from the absence of Minnesota SS Corey Chavous, out with a broken arm. The Vikings defense showed it was opportunistic against the Packers, though I don’t expect Donovan McNabb to throw up the silly passes Brett Favre did. I just don’t trust the Eagles’ offense enough without Owens to go with them in this one. This is the same offense that hasn’t gotten it done the last three years, and while the Vikings are not a strong defensive team, they can certainly outscore the Eagles. Prediction: Vikings 24, Eagles 20. Hi, my name is Tom Fowler. I don't know shit from shinola. So because he was wrong on one game, he's a moron? How many posts did you dedicate to Tom anyway, it's like you had the keyboard in your hand ready to rip him a new one from the opening kickoff. This, combined with the PM you sent me, shows that you are a stupider, more biased version of even the most annoying Yankee/Patriot fan. Please stop posting. No, because his entire reasoning proved to be faulty, from top to bottom. His predictions were wrong, in the purest sense. If they were a movie they'd be Showgirls. Sounds like someone's pissy his team got COREY DILLIOWNED.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2005 Yes, the Colts are definitely my team. I am only taking anger out on you because my favourite team, the COlts of Indianapolis, Indiana was Dillowned. Clearly, my last post was dripping with anger. You brag about what a team you don't follow did to a team that I don't follow. Brilliant, but it still doesn't change the fact that you should stop posting. Doesnt matter to me sarcasm or not its the funniest sports quote I've heard in a long time and one Freddie may never live down. 1234-5678 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2005 Yeah his press conference was one of the most entertaining I have seen in quite some time. You gotta love him "pulling the pants back up" and then strapping the People's championship belt on.
