2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2005 Is anyone honestly shocked Electra bombed out? I mean seriously? I gave it 20 million and even that is bomb range for a PG-13 movie based on an established character. Way to go for Samuel L, the man deserves a #1 movie as the lead star where he doesn't die. Tawren 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2005 What is Racing Stripes? I didn't see one preview for it. Talking animals, with a racing zebra taking the top billing. Whoophi Goldberg, David Spade, Snoop Dogg, that fag main character guy from Malcolm in the Middle, more. It looks great!!!!
Guest Smues Report post Posted January 16, 2005 Racing Stripes is 'Babe' but instead of a pig that thinks it's a sheepdog, it's a Zebra that thinks it's a race horse.

Some say it was worse than "Catwoman" It was apparently nothing but flashbacks and montages with a few battles mixed in. In other words, not good.

Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted January 17, 2005 From last week's thread: Next week: 1. Coach Carter Told you so. I'm so glad Coach Carter opened up at #1. It's such a great movie and I recommend it to everybody. Way to go, Samuel L. I'll still probably go see Elektra (For Jennifer Garner) With only 12 million and horrible reviews, I don't expect it to have legs. Opening Wednesday: "Assault on Precinct 13" (Lawrence Fishburne, Ethan Hawke) Opening Friday: "Are We There Yet?" (Ice Cube, Jay Mohr, Nia Long)

Vyce 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2005 I'm with Deon - I didn't think Elektra would do well, but really, debuting at number FIVE is less than even I would have predicted. Shameful.
