Crimson Platypus 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 So yeah I'm about 90% sure I'm right, but maybe someone could settle an arguement I had the other day with my girlfriend... Was Chicago a movie or a musical first?

Crimson Platypus 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 Sweet, do you know of anywhere that I can point to on the web for proof? IMDB brought up a whole bunch of stuff that really didn't help much. That answer = not paying for the next three dinners.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 "Chicago" started in 1924 or so as a Broadway play that was soon turned into a silent movie. It didn't become a musical of any kind until sometime later. The musical version didn't hit Broadway til 1974-75 and that came well before the film "Chicago" in 2002 I think it was. Just to clear up: Chicago was a movie before it was a musical. Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 Actually it was a Potawatami village first, so you're both wrong.
Jingus 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 Obviously, this all depends on your exact definition of "Chicago".
