BHK 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2005 Royal Rumble 1992 - The Royal Rumble Match This was the only year that the winner of the Royal Rumble would be crowned WWE Champion. With the stakes greater than ever, it didn't look like Ric Flair would have much of a shot in his first Rumble as he entered at No. 3. But as time wore on the Nature Boy was still in the thick of things. Was he able to ultimately go the distance and win the WWE Championship? Royal Rumble 1988 - The Royal Rumble Match The idea of the Royal Rumble first came from WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson, and this was its first incarnation. This Rumble only consisted of 20 Superstars, but the action was as hard-hitting as ever. Bret Hart and Tito Santana were the first Superstars to enter, but who would be the last man standing? Royal Rumble 1993 - Big Boss Man vs. Bam Bam Bigelow This classic battle of the big men is one not to be missed. This was during Bigelow's second time around with WWE and he was on top of his game. However, would it be enough to avoid serving hard time from the Boss Man? Royal Rumble 1995 - Jeff Jarrett vs. Razor Ramon Early in this Intercontinental Championship match, Jarrett scored a win via count-out over Razor Ramon. Jarrett called Ramon "yellow" and the match was restarted. Would the plan backfire on Double J or would he come out with his Intercontinental Championship still around his waist? Royal Rumble 1996 - Smoking Gunns vs. Body Donnas Before Billy was "Mr. Ass" and before Bart was a Brawl For All Champion, they formed the Smoking Gunns and they challenged the Body Donnas, who were managed by Sunny, for the World Tag Team Championship. Sunny, who would go on to manage the Smoking Gunns later on, proved to be a major obstacle for the challengers. Was her beauty and cunning too much to overcome for the Gunns? Royal Rumble 2003 - The Royal Rumble Match The 2003 edition of the Royal Rumble featured several heavy hitters but it came down to two of the heaviest hitters in WWE. When Undertaker and Brock Lesnar stood toe-to-toe with a shot at the WWE Championship on the line, who would be the first to budge? Royal Rumble 1993 - Bobby Heenan introduces The Narcissist Before WWE fans got behind the Lex Express, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan introduced Lex Luger as The Narcissist. Luger didn't have a match at the Royal Rumble but it was his official coming out party and he posed for all to see. Interesting selection. No Rockers/Orient Express from '91, which is sad.
