Karnage Posted March 3, 2005 Author Report Posted March 3, 2005 Me three. I miss those Hong Kong references that only me and three others would notice.
Guest DVD Spree Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 Thanks dude! I almost forgot to pimp XBM's WORLD EXCLUSIVE WRESTLEMANIA 21 REVIEW is in issue 44, OUT NOW. Wow, shilling's fun.
Guest DVD Spree Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 Sorry, been away for the weekend… Nope, it's the issue after that. Randy Orton on the bag, Mankind on the cover, WrestleMania 21 on the DVD. There's actually a shedload of game footage on the DVD – a bunch of intros and some match footage of HHH-Taker.
Scroby Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 I was able to read 1 review from the english version of XBN, over at Gamefaqs. Apprently they gave it a 9 outta 10. Take that for what you will.

Take that for what you will. It's XBM. And yes, it IS superb, as I've been saying all along. Take that for what you will…
Guest DVD Spree Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 Sorry, that sounded really snarky – didn't mean it to.
Scroby Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 meh, it didn't bother me. I still wanna do some kind of Smartmark xbox live fed thing.
Matt Young Posted March 8, 2005 Report Posted March 8, 2005 That's the date I've been hearing at Gaming Ring and GameFAQs. By the way, Gaming Ring.com, which is run by my old WrestlingGames.com cohort Mike Regan, has the best WrestleMania 21 coverage of any site out there. THQ's even flying Mike and staff mate Matt Parker out here to California for WrestleMania and a behind closed doors look at the WM21 game. Also, I am definitely all for a TSM Xbox Live league when the game is released.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted March 8, 2005 Report Posted March 8, 2005 I know nothing about this game, but if there are online leagues I'll get it. I'm not kidding.
Matt Young Posted March 8, 2005 Report Posted March 8, 2005 There aren't technically online leagues, but you can create championship belts and defend them on Xbox Live.
Scroby Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 We could just make a Smartmark championship title and only members of the board would be able to have matches for it. Plus we could have special refs if thats a feature. That could make for some intresting things.
Karnage Posted March 9, 2005 Author Report Posted March 9, 2005 And there could also be battle royales, Survivor Series tag matches...the possibilities are endless (hopefully).
MillenniumMan831 Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 ^^^ There's Survivor Series matches in this game?
Guest DVD Spree Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 I was holding off on this because I wasn't sure it was official, but apparently it's been confirmed: Mania is going to be delayed until May.
iliketurtles Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 They did the same bullshit with Raw 2. The more they delay it, the more the game sucks.
skullman80 Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 I dont know if this has been posted... http://www.gamingring.com/cgi-bin/ultimate...=1;t=000291;p=1 has some full length match videos...looks pretty cool.

Could you post a link...every site I have been to still says March 28th, and Gaming-ring.com doesnt have anything stating it has been moved back, and they are usualy pretty up to date.. Thanks
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Saw the Taker vs. JBL HIAC match. Taker jumps off the cage and clotheslines JBL. JBL immediately gets up. Fuck this.

Scroby Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Industry Talk or rumors? I haven't heard anything either, but then again Gamecrazy isn't all that up on dates. So maybe it got pushed back but if there are reviews already for the game, it'd be a bit unsual for the game to be delayed.

Thanks Industry talk. Well, since you know industry talk, maybe you have a clue about this: Why did nobody release Red Star, since it was basically finished when Akklaim went belly-up? -=Mike
Scroby Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Why did nobody release Red Star, since it was basically finished when Akklaim went belly-up? -=Mike No its still coming out, another company picked it up. I'm just not really sure what company picked it up. Wait thats that ninja one right? Or am I thinking of another game?
Guest DVD Spree Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Industry Talk or rumors? I haven't heard anything either, but then again Gamecrazy isn't all that up on dates. So maybe it got pushed back but if there are reviews already for the game, it'd be a bit unsual for the game to be delayed. Industry talk. As in, THQ. I really can't go into much detail, but apparently there were a couple of issues and the last word was that the title was to be put back until May. Whether this is just for the UK or US as well, I really don't know. But that was the word going around, and then I asked one of my colleagues that had just been on the phone to THQ and he said it was official – which is why I didn't want to mention it until then. Who knows, they could get everythign back on track and it'll be out as normal – that would be the plan, since they want it to coincide with the PPV and all. As for Red Star, I'm not really up on Acclaim stuff but as far as I know it hasn't been picked up. I could very well be wrong, but I honestly haven't heard anything about it recently.
MillenniumMan831 Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Just to confirm/deny DVDSpree, just 4 guys in the ring at a time for a battle royal/Royal Rumble and no Survivor Series tag matches, right?
Guest DVD Spree Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Gott abe completely honest on that one and just dick out with an "I really don't know". I didn't do the review, just got to have a little play time and watch some other people play – but nobody rocked any tag matches or SS bouts while I was there (we were basically rapid-firing 1-on-1 matches to use all of the characters). So I really can't answer the question, sorry. The game is fucking good, though.
