Mik 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2005 I don't think I can get extra innings because I will probably be moving at the end of July and not sure if I could keep that package in a move. Also - I heard some complaints last year that not every game was shown - and I wouldn't want it if I couldn't watch the Marlins. I got an email today from MLB.com about MLB.TV, and you can watch whatever game you want live or delayed. Before 2/12 it's 79.95 for the season. Has anyone ever used it? If so, is the quality ok? Is it as good as, or nearly as good as TV? I have cable internet and a decent computer if that makes any difference.
Styles 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2005 I got it last year when I was at school, and on a broadband connection the quality is excellent, TV quality for sure. You get all the games (although it's random whether they use the home or away feed) live, and they're archived the next day to go back and watch. Definitely reccomend it. Wish NBA.com did the same thing. It's 14.95 on a monthly basis I believe...
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2005 Hey, maybe now I can still follow the Cubs and Sox despite not being in Illinois.
Mik 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2005 Well, I decided to go ahead and purchase it. Its worth the money and then some, I believe. The quality is just as good as TV, there aren't any glitches... very good decision. I'd recommend picking this up to anyone who can't watch their favorite team on free TV every night. Slayer 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2005 I had it last season but I don't plan on getting it again, mostly just because I didn't get to use it as much as I thought I would Also, server lag can be really bad at times, especially on big games like Sox-Yanks
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2005 I'll probably just stick with the MLB Extra Innings package. Going from buying every WWE PPV for over a decade and then not getting any, it's not like there's much of a difference in the cable anyway. I do attribute being to see virtually every Cubs game as a big factor as to why I took things so roughly last season. Obviously I didn't handle the transition from only seeing the WGN and ESPN games to seeing them all very well.
Mik 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2005 Well, this will be my first season watching every Marlins game - hopefully I don't have the same problem.
